Yang WenHui left many views on Thoughts of Buddhist studies, but he did not leave systematic and overall issues. Therefore, in terms of the Thoughts of Buddhist studies, we can only infer his Thoughts of Buddhist studies based on his fragmentary writings. However, even though it was not a systematic essay, in his big and small sentences, we can find the depth of his Thoughts of Buddhist studies and the traces of his efforts to revive and promote Buddhism, and at the same time, we can see why Buddhism thought at the time of catastrophism was trying to realize spiritual values of the times. More importantly, his role was not only suggesting the Buddhist direction of the time, but also through Buddhism thought to the weary people in the complex structure of China's times, he conducted a true Buddhist aspect most satisfactorily as a great thinker who wanted to be a spiritual bright lantern, an educator, and a revolutionary. In the discussion of this study, rather than deeply exploring Yang WenHui's Thoughts of Buddhist studies, based on the papers already published, we will proceed with the writings focusing on two aspects. One will briefly introduce the progress of his Buddhist works, and the other will introduce the gradual development of the Thoughts of Buddhist studies. As a step-by-step development of the Thoughts of Buddhist studies, we first examine the contents of "Gishinron", and next examine other Thoughts of Buddhist studies. Lastly, we attempt to proceed with the discussion on the spiritual value of the present age through the Pure Land regression thought and the Thoughts of Buddhist studies.

양인산은 불학사상에 관한 풍부한 관점을 남겼지만, 자료적 시각으로 접근해 볼 때 체계적이고 전면적인 논점을 남긴 것은 아니다. 때문에 양인산의 불학사상은 그가 남긴 단편적인 논술을 근거로 그의 불학사상의 전모를 유추해 볼 수밖에 없다. 비록 체계적인 저작은 아니더라도 풍부하고 다양한 문폭의 문장 속에서, 그의 불학사상의 깊이와 불교를 부흥하고 진작시키고자 노력했던 흔적, 동시에 왜 하필이면 격변의 시기에 불교사상을 통해서 시대정신의 가치를 실현하려고 했는지를 짐작할 수 있다. 특히 그는 당시의 불교도가 나아갈 방향을 제시했을 뿐만 아니라, 당시 중국의 시대적 상황의 복잡한 구조 속에서 지칠 대로 지친 사람들에게 불교사상을 통해서 시대정신으로 밝은 등불이 되고자 했던 위대한 사상가, 교육가, 혁명가로서 불교거사다운 면모를 유감없이 발휘한 인물이었다. 이에 본 논문에서는 양인산의 불학사상에 대하여 두 가지 측면을 중심으로 분석하였다. 먼저, 양인산이 이룩한 불사진행 과정을 간단하게 소개하고, 다른 하나는 불학사상의 단계적 발전 과정을 살펴보았다. 다음으로 양인산의 불학사상을 단계적 발전 과정을 연구 진행하였다. 양인산은 끝없는 인생에 대한 탐구의 끈을 놓지 않았으며, 마침내 생에 대한 여러 가지 의문을 불교의 사상에서 찾게 되었고, 불교 안에서 그야말로 진정한 안식처를 찾게 되었다. 이 점이 바로 그가 전통사상인 유교 및 도교를 제쳐두고 불교를 선택해서 불교를 선양하고 부흥시키고자 했던 까닭 및 불교사상을 채용해서 시대를 선도하는 시대정신의 가치로 삼고자 했던 명분이 되었다고 하겠다.
