The purpose of this study is to explore Park's academic world. To this end, the research results of Park Ki-dong and his students were analyzed. The results are as follows. It is a rare case of combining history and literature. He tried writing reflecting literary sensibility in his dry academic writing. Highlighting the scientific writing of the P.E., in 2000, a book titled 『Sports and Writing』was published for the first time in the nation's athletics community. If the third person writing was the norm in the field of physical education, Park Ki-dong tried to write first person writing to lift himself up. It was an appropriate writing for anthropological writing. Just as a fish met with water, sports anthropology was the water that allowed the teacher to show his talents. He opened the door for the first time in Korea to study sports oral history and was influenced by him to produce doctors as a method of oral history research and to establish himself as a method of research. In addition, it contributed to the study of martial arts in the late Joseon Dynasty by studying the formation process of feed burrowing called 'Muyejebo' and the Muyedo Tongji. The poet's life also published several poems on the subject of the body. The icebreaker, which was recently published, is a scathing review of the world. Where should physical education go? 이 연구의 목적은 박기동 선생의 학문 세계를 엿보는 것이다. 이를 위하 여 박기동 선생과 그의 제자들의 연구성과를 분석하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 역사와 문학을 겸비한 보기 드문 경우이다. 축구의 양발잡이 축구선수 와 같다. 양발잡이는 슛을 성공시킬 가능성이 크다. 무미건조한 학술적 글쓰 기에 문학적 감수성을 반영한 글쓰기를 시도하셨다. 체육학도의 과학적 글쓰 기를 강조하면, 2000년에는『스포츠와 글쓰기』라는 단행본을 국내 체육학 계에서 최초로 출판하였다. 체육학계에서 3인칭 글쓰기가 대세였다면 박기 동 선생은 연구자 자신을 들어내는 1인칭 글쓰기를 시도하셨다. 그것은 인류 학 글쓰기에 적합한 글쓰기였다. 물고기가 물을 만난 것과 같이 체육구술사, 스포츠 인류학은 선생님의 자유자재로 재능을 펼칠 수 있는 물이었다. 국내 최초로 체육 구술사 연구의 물꼬를 트셨고 그의 영향을 받아 구술사연구 방 법으로 박사들이 배출되었고 체육사의 하나의 연구방법으로 자리 잡게 되었 다. 그뿐만 아니라 『무예제보』라는 사료발굴과 무예도보통지의 형성과정 을 연구하여 조선 후기 무예사 연구에 이바지하였다. 시 창작으로 몸을 주제 로 여러 권의 시집을 발행하였다. 최근에 발간한 쇄빙선은 방향을 잃고 헤매 는 체육계를 질타하는 내용이다. 체육이 어디로 가야 하는가? 시는 말하고 있다.
