The main factors in producing correctional public service for criminals are rehabilitation for them and the recovery of their family relationship. There is a correctional consultation as one of these measures for rehabilitation for them. These correctional consultation are family related consultation and so on. according to its content. Family related consultation has a consultative significance in that it can satisfy emotional stability, rehabilitation, family relationship for them. Therefore, I showed in this paper improvement device of family related correctional consultation in terms of ideology, counselor, client, consultative method, legal, administrative aspect and emphasized specialized consultation, family welfare consultation, therapeutic justice consultation, democratic consultation, individual consultation, effective consultation after examining the concept, characteristics and form of correctional consultation throughout the interdisciplinary study contrary to existing studies on the point of importance of family related correctional consultation.

범죄인에 대한 재사회화라는 교정공공재의 생산에서 주요 요소에는 교화와 가족관 계의 회복과 유지가 있다. 이러한 교화를 위한 방안의 하나로 교정상담이 있다. 이러한 교정상담에는 그 내용에 따라 가족관련 교정상담 등이 있으며 가족관련 교정상담은 교 화와 범죄인의 효를 포함한 가족관계의 회복과 정서적 안정 등을 충족시킬 수 있는 점에서 교정상담적 의의가 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 가족관련 교정상담의 중요성에 착 안하여 선행연구와 다른 학제적 측면에서 먼저 교정상담의 개념과 특징 및 형태를 살펴 보고 나서 가족관계 교정상담의 개선방안을 이념적, 주체, 대상자, 상담방법, 법적, 행정 적 측면에서 서술하였으며 전문화된 교정상담, 가족복지적 교정상담, 치료사법적 교정상 담, 민주적 교정상담, 개별화된 교정상담과 생산적인 교정상담을 강조하였다.
