- To make their profit, insurance companies should collect higher premium than the amount paid to the insured person. Due to this, insurance companies invests a lot of time, effort, and money in creating models that accurately predicts health care costs. In this paper, we analyze the relationship between individual medical data and medical costs. uneffective variables in medical data are eliminated through visualization and statistical hypothesis test, and then predicted health care costs by linear regression analysis of effective variables. As a result, linear regression analysis of medical costs with effective variables improves prediction accuracy.
