In this study, we have analyzed the factors affecting the survival of the forwarder companies using the data on the forwarder companies of Korean Enterprise Data (KED), and the difference in the survival rate among the individual company groups of interest was tested. We have used the survival analysis method such as Cox 's proportional hazard model and Kaplan-Meier analysis, and also we have used decision tree and logistics regression analysis in order to predict the bankruptcy. We can use the results of the research as follows: First, for the development of the forwarding industry, it is necessary to foster a small number of elite corporations as large global corporations, and to improve the soundness or viability of companies throughout the industry. It is necessary to consider utilizing various registration systems as a means for the latter. If the government introduces more stringent standards and applies it strictly, it will contribute to improving the viability of the industry. Second, CASS subscribers maintained a relatively low closing rate in the comparison of closure rates among groups. If the CASS system used in these air cargoes is introduced to maritime transportation and the shipping companies and forwarders participate in it, it will contribute to increase the health of international logistics companies.

본 연구에서는 한국기업데이터의 포워더 업체에 대한 자료를 활용하여 포워더 업체 생존에 영향 을 주는 요인들을 파악하고, 개별기업의 그룹간 생존율 차이를 검정한다. 생존분석 방법으로는 콕스 의 비례위험모형 및 카플란-마이어 분석이며 도산예측을 위하여 의사결정나무와 로지스틱 회귀분석 을 수행하였다. 연구 결과로써 활용할 수 정책방향을 제시하면 다음과 같다: 첫째, 포워딩 업종의 발전을 위해서는 소수 엘리트 기업을 대형 글로벌 기업으로 육성하는 것과 함께 업계 전반적으로 기업들의 건전성 또는 생존력을 증대시키는 것이 필요하다. 후자를 위한 하 나의 방편으로 각종 등록제도를 활용하는 것을 검토할 필요가 있다. 세관등록, 협회가입 등에 있어 서 정부가 좀 더 강화된 기준을 제시하고 이를 엄격하게 적용해 나간다면 업종의 생존력을 향상시 키는데 기여할 것이다. 둘째, 집단 간 폐업률 비교에 있어서 CASS 가입업체가 상대적으로 낮은 폐업률을 유지함을 확 인할 수 있었다. 이러한 항공화물에서 활용되는 CASS 제도가 해상운송에도 도입되어 선사와 포워 더들이 이에 참여하게 된다면 국제물류업체의 건전성을 증대시키는데 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
