Because of Panmunjom Declaration of Apr. 27, 2018, arts are actively exchanged between South Korea and North Korea. It’s time to study on not only Northern arts but also their design, but most of studies on Northern arts are limited to the 1900s and studies on after the 2000s are very insufficient. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze which formative characteristics of propaganda poster whose main is the images such as existing strict and totalitarian political system are recently shown with rapidly changing social atmosphere under the system of Kim Jung Eun of Northern Korea. Based on the results of research of domestic documents and Korea Institute for National Unification, this researcher considered recent tendency and periodical phase of Northern graphic design in comparison with that before the Kim Jung Eun system as well as analyzed image symbol, structure, typography, and colors of 61 propaganda posters in ‘Wooriminjokiri’, internet propaganda and instigation media respectively. As a result of research, modern images such as ‘citizen image’ were actively utilized and emotional appeal methods such as ‘iron horse’ symbolizing unity and poster of metaphorical expression were increased. From an angle of color using, the frequency of red utilization was reduced and it’s tried to use various colors such as blue, yellow, green, etc. Those changes showed that walking of Kim Jung Eun system’s political changes was same in the field of graphic poster design that is instigation media.

4.27. 판문점 선언을 계기로 남북의 미술 교류가 활발해지고 있다. 북한 미술뿐 아니라 디자인 측면에 초점을 맞춘 연구가 필요한 시점이지만 북한의 미술 분야 연구는 1900년대에 국한된 연구가 대부분이며, 2000년대 이후의 연구는 매우 부족한 실정이다. 이 러한 이유로 최근 북한의 김정은 체제하에 급변하는 사회 분위기와 함께 기존의 폐쇄적이고 전체주의적인 정치 체제 이미지가 주를 이루고 있던 프로파간다 포 스터가 어떤 조형적 특성을 보이며 변화되어 가고 있 는지를 분석하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 국내 문 헌과 통일연구원의 연구 결과를 토대로 최근 북한 그 래픽디자인의 경향과 시대상을 김정은 체제 이전과 비교하여 고찰하였으며, 인터넷 선전 및 선동 매체인 ‘우리민족끼리’에 게시된 61개 프로파간다 포스터 를 이미지 표상, 구도, 타이포그래피, 색채 경향을 각 각 분석하였다. 연구 결과, ‘시민의 이미지’ 등 현 대적 이미지를 적극적으로 활용하였고, 통일을 상징 하는 ‘철마’와 함께 은유적 표현의 포스터가 나타 나는 등 감성적 소구방법이 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 색채사용 측면에서는 붉은색 활용의 빈도가 줄었지만 파랑, 노랑, 초록 등 다양한 색채 사용을 시도한 것이 특징적이며, 이러한 변화는 김정은 체제의 정책적 변 화에 따른 행보가 선동 매체인 그래픽포스터 디자인 분야에서도 같이 나타나는 것으로 분석된다.
