This paper is read ‘Vampire’, a short novel of Kim Young-ha, as a metaphorical novel in causing a crack in gender norms and value of late 20C. In other words, that gender norms were interpreted as expressing anxiety or fear of man to the conditions of the era overturned late 20C. From inner story of a frame narrative, there is a woman in her twenties called Kim Huiyeon who considers a divorce in one year of married life because of just incongruent value of marriage and life style. This woman has enhanced the status of women late 20C, that is, figures that reflect the rapid changes in gender politics. She is reflected the phases of times of increasing in the divorce rate which is charged from women and strengthening the women's rights of the late 20C. Today's women are simply living a strengthened lifestyle and charging a divorce to men by reason of just incongruent life style and cultural tastes. This work, Kim Huiyeon of inner story, making a husband vampire who are different from her life style and cultural value could indicate the anxiety and fear of men from women of new era charging a divorce by commentary of outside narrator. In other words, this novel expresses an appearance of threatening women causing the crack of the superior male gender politics makes the anxiety and fear of men through a frame narrative. His wife wanted to share her all life with him and was fretful to him for it. However, his wife considers her husband a vampire working all day in his room and a monster threatening subject of women. Because she can't share her directional life with such a husband together. On the other hand, a husband could feel his wife as a very alarming presence like a vampire because he had to write work from morning till night as a full time author. Currently, Korea has increased divorce rate without a parallel in history. It also increased the divorce rate of charging from women. According to the National Statistics Office, the first reason of divorce is the difference in personality (46.7%). This work says that the differnces of life style and cultural value is the difference in personal as well. Anyway today's women are simply living a strengthened lifestyle and charging a divorce to men by reason of just incongruent life style and cultural tastes. The male narrator of outside story considers Kim Huiyeon a ‘vampire’ because of threat of women. Frame narrative of this work makes a reflection about the gender of the opposite gender perspective in times of political change.

이 논문은 김영하의 단편소설 흡혈귀 를 젠더(gender) 규범과 가치에 균열이 일 어난 20C 후반의 시대 상황을 은유한 소설로 읽고자 하였다. 즉 젠더정치학이 전복 된 20C 후반의 시대 상황에 대한 남성들의 불안 또는 공포를 표현한 것으로 해석하 였다. 액자소설인 이 작품의 안 이야기에는 남편이 외도를 하거나 폭력을 행사하거나 가족을 유기하지 않았음에도 단지 라이프스타일과 문화적 취향이 맞지 않는다는 이 유로 결혼 1년 만에 이혼을 고려하는 김희연이라는 이십대 여성이 등장한다. 이 여성 은 20C 후반 여성의 지위가 강화된, 즉 젠더정치학의 급격한 변화를 반영하는 인물 이다. 그녀는 여권의 강화와 이혼율의 증가, 특히 여성이 청구하는 이혼율이 높아진 20C 후반의 시대상을 반영한다. 현대의 여성은 단지 라이프스타일과 문화적 취향이 맞지 않는다는 이유로 남성에게 이혼을 청구할 만큼 여권이 강화된 시대를 살아간다. 반면 남성들은 가부장적 권력을 행사하지 않을 뿐만 아니라 초식남에다 허무주의자 로 변화했다. 이 작품은 남성 우월의 젠더정치학에 균열을 야기하는 위협적인 여성의 등장에 대한 남성들의 불안과 공포를 액자구조를 통해 전달하려고 했다. 현재 우리나라는 역사상 유래 없이 이혼율이 증가하고 있다. 그것도 여성들이 청 구하는 이혼율이 높아졌다. 2014년의 통계청 발표에 의하면 이혼사유의 첫 번째가 성격차이(46.7%)이다. 이 작품에서 말하는 라이프 스타일과 문화적 취향의 차이라는 것도 결국은 성격 차이이다. 이처럼 현대의 여성들은 이혼을 먼저 요구하는, 여권이 강화된 시대를 살아간다. 바깥 이야기의 남성화자가 김희연이라는 여성을 흡혈귀라고 생각하는 것도 그러한 여성들이 위협적으로 느껴졌기 때문이다. 하지만 안 이야기의 여성화자에게는 일상 적 행복을 같이할 수 없는 남편이 흡혈귀와 같은 괴물로 느껴질 수 있다. 이 작품의 액자구조는 젠더정치학이 변화하는 시대에 남녀의 상반된 입장에 대해 성찰하게 만든다.
