The purpose of this study is to find phonological error patterns of children 4 to 6 year olds in Korean-Chinese multicultural families. For that, we first tested 10 children of multicultural family and 10 Chinese students by using “Assessment of Phonology & Articulation for Children”(Kim M. J. et al., 2007). Then, among these 20 participants, we selected 7 children and 7 adults considering the age. The averages consonant accuracy of children from 4 to 6 year olds were respectively 86.63%, 88.6%, and 98.5%. The most prominent error types for children were the simplification of liquids and the stoping of fricative and affricative, and for adults, the difficulties were shown mainly in the triple distinction and retroflexion. However, the children’s phonological errors almost disappeared at the age 6, while the adults’ phonological errors remain regardless duration of Korean learning time.
