This paper probes the theological location of Bondage of the Will in the Reformation through the tension in Augustinian theology. But it also shows that a Bondage of the Will can be interpreted as a nuclear feeling today. Nuclear feeling defines a Bondage of the Will in accordance with the characteristics of the individual. The Bondage of the Will could show clearly the theological positions of the Reformed theologies. It can also catch the trap of natural theology of tendency of intellectualism and the corruption of extreme Voluntarist Theology and clarify the theological location of the Bondage of the Will. The Bondage of the Will as a Nuclear feeling is a habit (or habits) acquired during human growth process, but faith is supernatural infused habits. And these habits are the result of the derives of the body and soul, and the psychic representations made by these derives are the basis of the personal subject. In this paper, it is meaningful that the foundation of reason and will is the mind and that this mind is the result of affective derive. Encountering the miseries arising from Nuclear feeling, faith can be establishing itself on the basis of these experiences; so as the results of it faith and Nuclear feeling could get some perspectives of consilience, then true growth of faith can be expected. This study will trace these processes.

이 논문은 Augustine 신학 안에 있는 긴장을 통해 노예의지가 지닌 종교개혁 당시의 신학적인 위치를 드러낸다. 뿐만 아니라 노예의지가 오늘날에는 핵심감정으로 해석될 수 있다는 것을 보여준다. 핵심감정 은 노예의지를 개인이 지닌 특성을 따라 정의하게 해준다. 핵심감정은 종교개혁 신학의 위치를 분명하게 드러내준다. 또한 핵심감정은 주지 주의적인 자연신학의 함정과 극단적 주의주의 신학의 병폐를 드러내며 노예의지가 지닌 신학적인 위치를 분명히 해준다. 핵심감정은 성장과 정에서 획득한 습관이지만 믿음은 초자연적으로 주입된 습관이다. 그 리고 이 습관들은 몸과 영혼의 추동의 결과며, 이 추동들이 만든 정신 적 표상이 인격주체의 토대가 된다. 본 논문은 이성과 의지의 토대가 마음이며 이 마음은 감정 추동의 결과라는 점을 밝힌데 의의가 있다. 핵심감정이 빚어낸 비참을 제대로 직면하고 그 토대 위에 믿음이 세 워질 때, 이 핵심감정과 믿음이 통섭이 일어날 때, 진정한 의미의 신앙 성장을 기대할 수 있다. 본 연구는 이런 점에 기여할 것이다.
