The purpose of this study is to develop educators’ communication scale in dance class. To accomplish the purpose of this study, 824 dance educators participated. In order to validate the communication scale, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, discriminant and convergent validity, and criterion validity were conducted. The configured communication scale is as follows. First, it was confirmed that effective communication in dance educators was the 3 factors with 11 items structure: positive teaching style, mutual respect, and behavior style. Second, it was confirmed that ineffective communication in dance educators was the 4 factors with 21 items structure: hierarchical relationships, mutual understanding, negative environment, and class utilization.

본 연구는 무용수업에서 지도자의 커뮤니케이션 척도를 개발하고자 하였다. 이와 같은 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 무용지도자 824명이 참여하였다. 커뮤니케이션 척도를 타당화하기 위해 탐색적 요인분석, 확인적 요인분 석, 신뢰도 분석, 판별타당도 및 집중타당도 그리고 준거타당도 분석을 실시하였다. 구성된 커뮤니케이션 척도 는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 무용지도자의 효율적 커뮤니케이션 긍정적 수업방식, 상호존중, 행동방식의 3요인 11문 항과 둘째, 무용지도자의 비효율적 커뮤니케이션 위계적 관계, 상호이해, 부정적 환경, 수업활용의 4요인 21문 항에 대한 구조가 확인되었다. 이 연구를 통해 측정도구의 개발은 물론, 향후 무용 교육 커뮤니케이션 연구에 있어 의미 있는 정보를 제공하는데 의의를 둔다.
