This thesis aimed at analyzing ‘True-view’ landscape paintings(sagyeongsansoohwas) which was painted by Gyeomjae(his pen name) Jeong Seon when he worked as a governor in Hayang(Gyeongsan, currently) and Cheongha(Pohang, currently) among his many works. They were painted after he explored 65 places in the Gyeongsang Province and the famous scenic spots and beautiful places were chosen for his painting by him. So far, most of the studies on Jeong Seon were his works with Jingyeongsansoohwas, Mt. Geumgang, or the works with the background of Hanyang(Seoul, currently). However, there have been no researches on his works when he was in government service as a governor when he was in his forties, that is five years(1721-1725) in Hayang, and two years(1733-1735) in Cheongha(Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province). Thus, it was investigated by the author what kind of views he had in order to express the actual scenes, and what each scenic spot meant to the painter Jeong Seon, by analyzing his works which had the landscape in Youngnam area as a subject and examining the characteristics of them.Ukiyo-e and literary paintings of the Edo period in Japan

본 논문은 겸재 정선의 많은 작품 중 하양(현 경산)과 청하(현 포항)에서 현감으로 재직하던 무렵 경상도 지역 65개 군현을 찾아다니면서 명승과 명소를 그린 사경산수화를 분석한 것이다. 지금까지 정선에 관한 연구는 대부분 진경산수화 또는 금강산, 한양(서울)을 배경으로 한 작품에 대한 연구들이며, 정선이 40대 이후 관직에 있던 시절, 즉 5년간(1721-1725) 하양 현감 시절과 이후 2년여(1733-1735) 동안 청하(경북 포항) 현감 시절에 제작한 작품에 대한 연구는 전무한 실정이다. 이에 연구자는 정선이 영남지역의 경관을 소재로 한 작품들을 분석하고 그 특징을 살펴서, 영남지역의 사경산수화가 정선이 실경 표현을 위해 어떤 작품 세계관을 지니고 있는지 각 명소와 작가가 어떤 의미가 있는지 고찰하였다.
