The government`s plan to introduce the police system is showing excessive haste. And there is a backlash from police officers at the scene, and it is not desirable to conduct a security organization experimentally. Therefore, this study should first look at the U.S. police system and personnel management and identify potential problems by identifying these strengths and weaknesses in advance. To create a successful autonomous police system, analysis should be done at the component level of local autonomy to maximize the efficiency of the nation's security system. And the nation's stable police operation is directly related to the lives and safety of the people, so a more cautious and more cautious approach should be taken. Therefore, it is suggested to examine American police and come up with a new Korean-style police system through in-depth research and public opinion collection.

현재 정부가 마련하고 있는「자치경찰제도 도입방안」은 지나칠 정도로 성급하 게 추진하는 모습을 보이고 있다. 그리고 현장에 있는 경찰관들의 반발도 생기고있을 뿐만 아니라 치안 조직을 실험적으로 시행해 본다는 것은 바람직하지도 않다 고 본다. 그래서 본 연구는 미국의 경찰 조직체계와 인사관리를 우선 살펴보고 이 러한 장·단점을 미리 파악하여 나타날 수 있는 문제점을 파악하여야 할 것이다. 성 공적인 자치 경찰 제도를 만들기 위해서는 지방자치의 구성요소차원에서 분석하여 국가의 치안조직의 효율성을 극대화해야 할 것이다. 그리고 국가의 안정적 경찰조 직 운영은 국민의 생명과 안전에 직결 되어 있으므로 보다 더 신중하고 조심스럽 게 접근을 해야 할 것이다. 그래서 미국경찰을 미리 살펴보고 깊이 있는 연구와 여 론수렴을 통하여 새로운 한국형 자치경찰제도 방안을 마련할 것을 제안 한다.
