The stage of Masan Ogwangdae is an outdoor and flat-shaped arena-type yard stage. So, the performers play circles and perform around the place so that the audience on all sides can appreciate their performances as they play their roles. In recent years, he is also taking care of places not in the yard. Masan Okgwangdae's performers include performances for dramatic tension, unfamiliar acting for criticism, sensual acting, comic acting, and tragic acting. There are many dances in the actual smoke movement. Most characters are dancing from the time their appearance. Masan Ogwangdae has criticism in humor and the frame like other mask dances, and it is filled with beauty in ruthlessness. There are many tragic traits in Masan's Okgwangdae. It depicts the suffering of life, the appearance of being emancipated, the sacrifice of feudalistic customs, and the sacrifice of monopolistic religion and thought. The overall structure of Masan Ogwangdae is presented as a variety of play situations → concrete meaning of play situation → realization of play situation → plotting play → animal play situation. The structure was finished by arranging the play situation, submitting it to the constitutional design, and organizing it.

마산오광대의 원래 공연무대는 실외의 평면 마당이다. 그래서 연희자들은 자신의 배역을 연기할 때 사방의 관객들이 자신의 공연을 고루 감상할 수 있도록 원을 그리거나 사방을 둘러보며 공연한다. 그러나 최근에는 야외의 마당이 아닌 실내의 프로시니엄 무대에서도 공연한다. 마산오광대의 연희자들의 연기에는 극적긴장도를 높이기 위한 연기, 양반비판목적의 낯설게하는 연기, 관능적 연기, 희극적 연기, 비극적 연기 등이 있다. 실제연기동작에는 춤이 많다. 대부분의 등장인물은 등장하면서부터 춤을 춘다. 마산오광대는 다른 탈놀이처럼 해학과 골계 속에 비판을 담고 있고, 투박함 속에 아름다움을 담았다. 마산오광대에는 비극적 특징도 많다. 삶에 고통 받는 모습, 유민화 되는 모습, 봉건제적 풍습에 희생되는 모습, 독점적 종교나 사상에 희생되는 모습 등이 표현되고 있는 것이다. 마산오광대의 전체적 구조는 다양한 놀이적 상황의 제시→놀이적 상황의 의미 구체화→놀이적 상황의 실제화→놀이를 플롯화→동물의 놀이적 상황으로 되었다. 구조는 놀이적 상황을 나열했다가 이를 구성적 고안에 포섭했다가 이를 정리하면서 종료되었다.
