The purpose of this study was to intensively investigate the context and the tendency of the situation and features of Enneagrams of highschool and university students, and that of the triad, basic personality type, wing, the directions of integration and disintegration, the origin of infancy, and the levels of development according to different gender and school age. The study subjects were 1,061 highschool and university students participated in an online Enneagram test hosted by domestic education research institute toward enneagram. The results of this research ware follows. First, there were more female students than male students and more university students
than highschool students who participated in the survey. The Instinctive Triad came out as the most common triad followed by the Feeling Triad and the Thinking Triad. The Peacemaker ranked as the most frequent basic personality type followed by the Individualist and the Loyalist while, as for the wing, more students represented the clockwise direction than the counterclockwise direction. In addition, students tended to follow the disintegration arrow more than the integration arrow and "both parents", father, and mother were the result of the origin of infancy ranking. Secondly, the distribution of triads varied according to students' school age while the wing, the direction of integration and disintegration, and the levels of development
depended on their basic personality type. Thirdly, the results indicated that the score of development depend on the triads, basic personality types, wings, integration and disintegration, and the origins of infancy while it turned out that triads, basic personality types, integration and disintegration, and origins of infancy have distinctive affects on the score of development.
This research does not simply identify what triads or basic personality types individuals have but it suggests that their wings, origins of infancy, and levels of development must be taken into account in order to understanding them. Therefore, a more sophisticated and systematic analysis and comprehension must be thoroughly conducted prior to attempting to understand youths and juveniles and to provide them with guidance than just acknowledging their apparent characteristics.

이 연구의 목적은 고등학생과 대학생의 에니어그램에 대한 일반적 현황과 특성, 성과 학령에
따른 힘의 중심, 기본성격유형, 날개, 에너지의 방향, 유아기의 기원, 발달수준의 내용과 경향을 체
계적으로 살펴보고자 하는 것이다. 연구의 대상은 에니어그램과 관련한 국내 한 교육연구소 온라
인 검사에 참여한 고등학생과 대학생 1,061명으로 구성되어 있다. 이 연구의 개요는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 조사대상자의 일반적 특성에서 이용자 분포는 여학생이 남학생보다, 대학생이 고등학생
보다 많았다. 힘의 중심은 장, 가슴, 머리중심 순이었고 기본유형은 조정자, 예술가, 충성가 순이었
으며 날개는 시계방향, 시계반대방향 순이었다. 또한 화살표의 방향은 분열, 통합 순이었고 유아기
의 기원은 부모양쪽, 부, 모의 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학령에 따라 힘의 중심 분포비율에 차이를
보였으며 기본유형에 따라 날개, 에너지의 방향, 발달수준에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째,
힘의 중심, 기본유형, 날개, 분열과 통합, 유아기의 기원에 따라 발달점수에 차이가 있었으며, 힘의
중심, 기본유형, 분열과 통합, 유아기의 기원에 따라 발달점수에 미치는 영향이 다른 것으로 나타
났다.
본 연구는 한 개인을 이해함에 있어 단순히 힘의 중심이나 기본유형을 파악하는 수준을 넘어
그들의 날개, 에너지의 방향, 유아기의 기원, 발달수준을 고려해야 함을 제시해 주고 있다. 그러므
로, 청소년이나 청년을 이해하고 지도함에 있어 단순히 그들 특성의 표면적인 내용이상의 구체적
이고 체계적인 분석을 통한 이해가 선행된 후에 개입하여야 할 것이다.
