This year is the 10th anniversary of the Law-Related Education Support Act. Law-Related Education(LRE) has grown a lot over the past decade. However, the true evaluation of whether Law-Related Education has grown depends on whether it actually proves its own educational effects. It is one of those visible efforts and has supported its external growth as a basis for related government projects and programs. This research analyzes the actual educational effect of the government-led law-related education based on the Law-Related Education Support Act. In this context, the main points of the research are as follows. First, the background and role of government-led law-related education; Second, analysis and evaluation of law related education support act; And Third, prospects and tasks of Law-Related Education Support Act. Finally, this research marks the 10th anniversary of the Law–Related Education Support Act, and calls for academic roles of researchers who can not be replaced by Law-Related Education Support Act.

올해는 법교육지원법이 제정된 지 10년이 되는 해이다. 법교육은 지난 10년간 많은 성장을 보였다. 그러나 법교육이 성장했는지에 대한 진정한 판단은 법교육이 목적으로 하는 교육적 효과를 실제로 거두고 있는지에 달려있다. 법교육지원법은 법교육의 목적을 달성하기 위해 기울였던 가시적인 노력 중 하나로, 관련 정부 사업과 프로그램의 근거가 되어 법교육의 외형적 성장을 지원해 왔다. 이 연구는 법교육지원법 제정 10년을 맞아 법교육지원법에 바탕을 둔 정부주도 법교육의 실질적인 교육적 효과를 분석하고, 기존의 법교육지원법을 평가하고자 하였다. 위와 같은 고찰을 통해 연구가 살펴보고자 하는 주요 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정부주도법교육과 법교육지원법 제정의 배경 및 역할, 둘째, 법교육지원법의 분석 및 평가, 셋째, 법교육지원법의 전망 및 과제가 그것이다. 최종적으로 이 연구는 법교육지원법 제정 10년을 맞이하여, 법교육지원법으로 갈음할 수 없는 학문적 역할을 강조하면서 글을 맺는다.
