The purpose of this study was to define the data of the database used by experts and the general public as big data and to provide basic data for improving the quality of childhood education based on the academic and social understanding of infant character education. To do this, we conducted keyword analysis and network analysis of text - based materials collected through educational and academic information sources and search through the keyword 'childhood character education'. As a result, it was found that the data related to infant education were produced more in the news than in the academic or the search word by analyzing the frequency pattern of the collected data. Second, in early childhood personality education, news materials were provided by the mediator of academic research and search query data, and third, it was found that early childhood personality education was centered on activities that applied virtue and value-oriented programs. Therefore, infancy is a crucial period that is the basis of whole life personality education, and it is discussed that it should go from moral education to ethical education and ultimately to self-realization education. The ultimate purpose of infant personality education is self-realization and the starting point and crucial time of personality education of the whole life, so the experience of personality development appropriate for individual human being should be provided on the continuous line of whole life development.

이 연구의 목적은 유아 인성교육에 대한 학문적, 사회적 이해를 기반으로 유아 인성교육의 재개 념화 및 방향설정을 위한 기초자료를 제공하기 위함이다. 이를 위해 ‘유아 인성교육’ 주제어로 교육 학술정보원 자료와 검색을 통해 수집된 텍스트 기반의 자료를 빅데이터로 정의하고 수집자료의 빈 도와 키워드를 분석하였다. 그 결과 수집된 자료에서 학술연구자료나 검색어자료보다 뉴스에서 보 다 많은 유아 인성교육 관련 자료들이 양산되고 있는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 둘째, 유아 인성교육에 서 학술연구와 검색어 자료의 매개로 뉴스자료가 전문가와 일반인의 비계를 제공하고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 셋째, 유아 인성교육은 대부분 덕목 및 가치 함양을 위한 활동중심의 프로그램으로 이 루어지고 있었다. 이에 유아기는 전 생애 인성교육의 기초가 되는 결정적 시기임을 상기하며, 도덕 교육에서 윤리교육으로, 궁극적으로는 자아실현 교육으로 나아가야 함은 물론 유아 인성교육의 궁 극적 목적은 자아실현으로 전 생애 인성교육의 연속선상에서 개별 존재에 적절한 자아실현의 경험 이 전일론의 관점에서 제공되어야 할 것을 논의하였다.
