This study attempted to investigate the effects of young children mathematics education activities using Sudhana story on their mathematical achievement, mathematical process skill, and mathematical attitude. The subjects of the study were 60 young children age five from two classes of W kindergarten located in K city (30 experimental group, 30 control group). As for the experiment treatment, the young children mathematics education activity using a total of four Sudhana stories was conducted for three days. Based on the mathematical inquiry of the Nuri curriculum, the teaching learning method was carried out on the 1st day ‘searching’, 2nd day ‘developing’ and 3rd day ‘extension’, and a total of 12 sessions were performed. The collected data were verified by covariance analysis (ANCOVA) using SPSS/PC (win 28.0) program according to research questions. In the results of the study, the young children mathematics education activity using Sudhana story had a positive effect on their mathematical achievement, mathematical process skill and mathematical attitude. Thus, this has been an opportunity to explore the applicability of the young children mathematics education activity with the Sudhana story to young children education field.

이 연구는 선재동자 이야기를 활용한 유아수학교육 활동이 유아의 수학 성취도, 수학적 과정기술, 수학적 태도에 미치는 영향을 미치는 알아보는 데 있다. 연구 대상은 K시에 소재한 W유치원의 만 5세, 2학급 유아 60명(실험집단 30명, 통제집단 30명)이 참여하였다. 실험처치는 총 4편의 선재동자 이야기를 활용한 유아수학교육 활동이 각각 3일에 거쳐 전개되었다, 교수-학습 방법은 누리과정의 수학적 탐구하기를 기초로 1일차 ‘탐색하기’, 2일차 ‘전개하기’, 3일차 ‘확장하기’로 진행되었으며, 총 12회기가 실행되었다. 수집된 자료는 연구문제에 따라 SPSS/PC(win 28.0) 프로그램을 사용하여 공변 량분석(ANCOVA)으로 그 효과를 검증하였다. 연구 결과는 선재동자 이야기를 활용한 유아수학교육 활동은 유아의 수학 성취도, 수학적 과정기술, 수학적 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석 되었다. 뿐만 아니라 이러한 연구 결과는 선재동자 이야기를 활용한 유아수학교육 활동의 유아교육 현장 적용에 대한 가능성을 시사하고 있다.
