The purpose of this study was to search factors that have a significant effect on vocational high graduates student in Seoul area of career decision and employment outcomes, and how the decision making factors of these groups had changed between 2013 and 2016. To accomplish this purpose, the study used the 1st~6th year data of the Seoul Educational Longitudinal Study: SELS and the Career College Attendance penal data. The summary of the main results of this study are as follows. First, factor of individual characters and students’ family backgrounds don't effect career decision but private tutoring participation and parental supporting effect career decision in 2013, 2016. Second, the importance of the principal’s career education policy has a significant effect on career decision in 2013 but the influence of importance of the principal’s career education policy has disappeared in 2016. Third, there was a difference in factors of career education program that have a significant effect in the career decision according to year. Factors that have a significant effect on the employment outcome were employment information in 2013, field work experience and career camp in 2016. Fourth, factors that have a significant effect on the employment outcome was gender, private tutoring in 2013, 2016. There was a difference in factors of career education program that have a significant effect in 2013 and 2016. Factors that have a significant effect on the employment outcome were school’s career experience management in 2013 and the participation in career experience in 2016. These results suggest implication for the development of career education program in vocational high school.

본 연구의 목적은 서울지역 특성화고 졸업생의 취업결정 및 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하고 이들 영향요인이 연도별(2013, 2016년)로 어떠한 차이를 보이는지 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 서울교 육종단연구 1~6차년도 자료와 진로진학조사 1, 2차 자료를 사용하여 특성화고 졸업생의 취업결정 및 성과 영향요인을 시점별로 비교·분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 특성화고 졸업생의 취업결정 영향요인을 분석한 결과 개인·가정배경 변수는 취업결정에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났으며, 사교육 참여정 도와 부모의 진학정보인식 수준은 두 시점 모두 취업결정에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 둘 째, 교원·수업특성 중 학교장의 진로교육 정책에 대한 필요성 인식수준이 취업결정에 유의한 영향을 미 치는 것으로 나타났으나 연도별로 상이한 결과를 보였다. 셋째, 진로·진학프로그램이 취업결정에 영향 을 미치는 요인은 연도별로 차이를 보였는데 2013년의 경우 취업정보 제공 및 습득이 취업결정에 영향 을 미쳤으나, 2016년의 경우 현장직업체험, 진로캠프와 같은 체험기반 진로프로그램 참여 경험이 있는 학생들이 취업을 결정할 가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 특성화고 졸업생의 취업성과 영향요인 을 살펴본 결과 성별, 사교육 참여정도는 두 시점 모두 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 진로프로그 램 관련 영향변수들은 연도별로 차이를 보였다. 이 연구는 특성화고 학생들의 취업결정 및 성과 영향요 인을 밝혀냄으로써 이를 바탕으로 학교교육 및 진로교육 프로그램 개발 및 운영에 시사점을 제공해줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
