Recently, with the increase of aesthetic demand and the development of technology related to ceramic processing, the use of ceramic materials for prosthetics requiring aesthetic is increasing. Furthermore, with the latest amendment of the International Standard of dental ceramics, there has been a difference from the current Standard Specifications for Medical Devices, which was established to reflect previous International Standard. Accordingly, it is necessary to amend Standard Specification so as to reflect the current International Standard and to minimize confusion in the medical device industry. The purpose of this study was to develop an amendment of Standard Specification of dental ceramics that reflects the current International Standard. For this purpose, we surveyed domestic and foreign standards of dental ceramics. The current International Standard of dental ceramics is ISO 6872:2015, but the current Standard Specifications of dental ceramics is established with reference to ISO 6872:2008. The amended requirements and test methods in ISO 6872:2015 are applied to the draft of Standard Specifications of dental ceramics. Moreover, based on opinions from experts in the areas of industry, academy, research, and administration, we developed the draft of Standard Specifications of dental ceramics. The amendment of Standard Specifications of dental ceramics is considered to be helpful for market access and to enhancing domestic medical device industrial competitiveness.

최근 심미적 수요의 증가와 도재 가공 관련 기술의 발달로 인레이, 인공치아, 크라운, 브릿지 등 심미성이 요 구되는 보철물에 도재의 사용이 증가하고 있다. 더불어 치과에서 사용되는 도재에 대한 국제표준이 최근 개정됨에 따 라, 이전 국제표준을 반영하여 제정된 현행 기준규격과 상이한 부분이 생겼다. 이에 따라 최신 국제표준을 반영하고 의료기기 산업계의 혼란을 최소화할 수 있도록 기준규격 개정이 필요한 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 최신 국제표준을 반 영한 치과용 도재 관련 품목의 의료기기 기준규격 개정(안) 마련 연구를 수행하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 치과용 도재 관련 품목의 국내·외 규격을 조사를 선행하였다. 치과용 도재 관련 품목의 최신 국제표준은 ISO 6872:2015이지만, 현 행 의료기기 기준규격은 ISO 6872:2008을 참조하여 만들어져 있어, 국제표준에 개정된 시험규격 및 시험항목을 개정 (안)에 적용하였다. 추가적으로 수축계수 시험항목의 기준만 제시되었고, 시험방법이 제시되어있지 않은 것에 대해 적 용 가능한 시험방법을 조사·분석하여 제안하였다. 더불어 산·학·연·관 전문가 협의체 회의를 통한 의견 수렴 및 타당 성 검증을 바탕으로 치과용 도재 관련 품목의 의료기기 기준규격 개정(안)을 개발하였다. 본 연구 성과는 치과용 도재 관련 품목의 의료기기 기준규격을 최신 국제표준과 부합하도록 개정(안)을 개발함이 따라 최신 경향에 맞는 허가·심 사를 위한 의료기기 기준규격을 마련하였으며, 국제 경쟁력 강화 및 무역 장벽 해소에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
