This paper is to search for the direction and significance of education to enhance university students’ gender sensitivity. For this purpose, the necessities of gender sensitivity and the implications of gender training were taken into consideration in this research, and the examples of gender training applied into women’s studies as university liberal education were analyzed. This gender training research was proceeded into three different approaches. Firstly, based on the notional apprehension of gender, the impact of gender problem to each students’ life was considered. Secondly, the gender sensitivity training against discriminations helped us to deeply understand the meaning of “differences” and “discriminations”. Finally, comprehension of gender norm leaded to obtain the willingness of individual and social change. This research is substantial due to the search for the significances and methods of liberal education developing gender sensitivity in university society.

이 논문은 대학생들의 성 인지 감수성을 향상시키기 위한 교육의 방향과 가치를 탐색해 보고 자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 성 인지 감수성의 필요성과 이를 위한 젠더 트레이닝의 의미와 특징을 살펴보고, 대학의 교양교육으로서 여성학 수업에 젠더 트레이닝이 적용된 사례를 분석하 였다. 젠더 트레이닝은 크게 3가지 주제로 진행되었다. 첫째는 젠더에 대한 개념적 이해를 기반으 로 자신의 삶을 성찰하여 젠더의 문제가 자신의 삶에 미치는 영향을 통찰하도록 하였으며, 두 번 째는 차별에 대한 민감성 훈련을 통해서 차이와 차별을 깊게 이해할 수 있도록 하고, 세 번째는 젠더규범의 작동방식에 대한 이해를 통해서 개인과 사회 변화에 대한 의지를 가질 수 있도록 하 였다. 본 연구는 성차별과 성범죄가 만연한 대학사회에서 성 인지 감수성을 향상시킬 수 있는 교 양교육의 의미와 방법에 대해서 탐색하였다는데 그 의미가 있다.
