This study was aimed to verify response characteristics from DAS test according to fire-fighting officer’s job stress. This study was targeted to 103 Fire-fighting officers in 10 fire stations and DAS and job stress test were conducted. We used upper and lower groups for final data analysis according to job stress level, and performed independent sample t-test using SPSS 18.00 to analyze. The results obtained in this study are as follows. First, there was no difference in the responses in the formal analysis (space use, details) of DAS according to the job stress level and lower level of the firefighting officers. Second, there was no difference in response to the content analysis (emotional content, self - image, self - report) of DAS according to the upper and lower levels of firefighting officers. On the other hand, the characteristic part of the DAS inspection reaction is that although the instructor did not have the instruction to draw the hope at the inspection, more than half of the fire-fighting officers expressed the picture in the form of hope, and according to the aspect of the relationship depicted in the picture, One group showed a lower level of job stress than a group that did not describe the relationship. This can be attributed to the stress coping method, which plays an intermediate role before stress leads directly to depression or aggression. Therefore, it is difficult to use DAS as a direct measurement tool in the evaluation of job stress of firefighting public servants, and it is possible to use it as an auxiliary tool to evaluate stress related matters.

본 연구는 소방공무원의 직무스트레스에 따른 그림이야기검사(Draw-A-Story : DAS) 반응특성의 차이를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구의 대상은 군집표집하였으며 경기북부 10개 소방서에 재직 중인 소방공무원 103명에게 DAS와 직무스트레스 검사를 실시하였다. 직무스트레스 수준에 따라 상·하위 집단을 나눠 최종 자료 분석에 사용하였고 두 집단 간의 DAS점수 차이를 분석하기 위해 SPSS 18.00을 사용하여 독립표본 t검증을 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 소방공무원의 직무스트레스 상·하위 수준에 따라 DAS 내 형식적 분석(공간사용, 세부사항)에서 반응의 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 소방공무원의 상·하위 수준에 따라 DAS 내 내용적 분석(정서내용, 자기상, 자기보고)에서 반응의 차이가 없었다. 한편, DAS 검사 반응의 특징적인 부분은 검사 시 소망을 그리라는 지시가 없었음에도 절반이상의 소방공무원이 그림을 소망의 형태로 표현했고, 그림 내 대상의 관계성 묘사 양상에 따라 볼 때, 관계를 묘사한 집단이 관계를 묘사하지 않은 집단에 비해 직무스트레스 정도가 낮게 나타났다는 것이다. 이는 스트레스가 직접적 우울이나 공격성으로 이어지기 전 중간역할을 하는 스트레스 대처방식과 연결 지어 볼 수 있었다. 따라서, 소방공무원의 직무스트레스 평가에 있어 DAS는 직접적 측정도구로써 활용하기 어려우며, 스트레스와 관련한 사항들을 평가하는 보조적 도구로써의 활용 가능성이 있다.
