In learning Japanese as a foreign/second language, Kanji is one of the most difficult parts, mostly since one kanji often has different ways to read. However,understanding on the correspondence between Japanese and Korean ways of reading Kanji/Hanja can be one of useful pedagogical materials on learning and teaching Kanji. In general, many previous studies comparing Korean and Japanese ways of reading Kanji focused on CVC-type of Kanji in Korean way. However, there are not many studies that investigate CV-type of Kanji in Korean pronunciation, which occupies 880 Kanjis among 2060 Kanjis that can be read with On’yomi (readings derived from Chinese pronunciations) from the list of Kanji designated for everyday use. Therefore, this study categorized CV-type of Kanji in Korean pronunciation from the list of Kanji designated for everyday use and compared them with Japanese ways of reading. Since there is no /ㅡ(ɯ)/sound in Korean ways of reading Kanji, this study only focused on nine modern Korean monophthong. As a result, thecurrent study could find the tendency of correspondence between Japanese and Korean ways’ of reading Kanji.

일본상용한자표에서 음독이 가능한 상용한자(2060자) 중 한국한자음의 CV형의 단모음음성운 한자의 한일한자음의 대응관계를 분석한 결과, SK音 /-a/형 한자는 SJ音에서는 주로/-a/형이나 /-i/형 /-ja/ 음으로 대응, SK音 /-ə/형 한자는 SJ音에서는 /-jo/형, /-ei/형, /jo/와 /-o/형으로 대응,SK音/-o/형 한자는 SJ音에서는 주로 /-o/형, /-ou/형, /-jo/형,/-jou/형으로 대응, SK音/-u/형 한자는 SJ音에서는 /-u/형이나 /-uu/형. /-o/ 형 등으로 다양하게 대응, SK音/-i/형 한자는 SJ音에서도 /-i/형으로 대응, SK音의 /-ai/형 한자는 /-ai/형, /-a/형,　/-i/형으로 대응, SK音의/-e/형 한자는 SJ音에서는/-ei형과 /-ai/형으로 대응, SK音 /-oi/형 한자는 SJ音에서는 /-ai/형, /-ou형으로 대응, SK音/-yi/형 한자는 SJ音에서 주로 /-i/형의 대응관계이다.

日本語学習において、日本語の漢字は同じ字でも違う読み方があるなど、習得しにくい部分の一つである。しかし、韓国語と日本語の漢字音の対応関係に関する一般的な傾向性への理解は、韓国人日本語学習者のために、漢字の読みの学習法や教育法の教育資料として活用できる。一般的に、韓国語の漢字音でCVC型の漢字を中心にした韓日対照研究は多いが、日本語常用漢字で音読みが可能な漢字2060字の中で多く(888字)であるCV型の漢字を対象にする研究が多くない。そこで、本研究は、音読が可能な日本語常用漢字の中、韓国語の漢字音でCV型の陰声韻をタイプ別に調査分析した。韓国の漢字音には/ㅡ(ɯ)/が見られないため、9個の現代韓国語の短母音/ㅏ(a),ㅐ(ai),ㅓ(ə),ㅔ(e),ㅗ(o),ㅚ(we),ㅜ(u),ㅟ(wi),ㅡ(ɯ),ㅣ(i)/を中心に分類した。その結果、韓国語の短母音をCV型の陰声韻に日本常用漢字は729字であり、韓日漢字音の対応関係における一般的な傾向性が見られた。
