Drama was broadcast by the cable network TV tvN, drawing huge attention. This work stressed the features of the organized play romance genre, yet positively accepted the creation methods of various genres thus attempting to expanding the narrative. This paper examined that attempt from structural and expression perspectives. First, the structural perspective was divided into ‘riddle-solving routine’ and ‘comic variety show grammar.’ Riddle-solving routine was often named ‘search for future husband’, and it was used as the basic structure in the first half of the series. The performance progressed based on the change of scenes and emotions, and was positively actualized through the participation of audiences. Comic variety show grammar was presented in the way of featuring short episodes. This expressed the fun of the drama effectively, and each scene was produced into a video clip so as to attempt to spread the appreciation of the drama. Next, the expansion of expression was divided into ‘mimicry’ and ‘exposure of longing’. Mimicry was conducted in the first half of the series in the way of borrowing the creation methods of the diverse presented parodies, music videos and fanfic. Exposure of longing was presented as the attitude of our society pursuing the lost values, mainly through narrations to sympathizing with audiences. This attempt could not be said to be the creativity of this work alone. Similar attempts had been made in the various areas of culture and arts. The attempt in this drama is closer to the collection of existing creation methods. Thus, the series was not an attempt leading the age, but it maintained the conventional dramaturgy yet reflected the drama environment changes recently significantly made. This creation method was positively used as a creation methodology in romance works published after series.

드라마 <응답하라>는 케이블방송 tvN에서 방영되어 크게 주목받았다. 이 작품은 조직된 놀이라는 로맨스 장르의 특성을 강조하면서도, 여러 분야의 창작방법을 적극적으로 수용하면서 서사의 확장을 도모했다. 이 논문은 이 를 구조적 측면과 표현의 측면으로 구분하여 살펴보았다. 먼저 구조적 측면은 ‘수수께끼 풀이’와 ‘예능 문법의 도입’으로 구분했 다. 수수께끼 풀이는 흔히 ‘남편 찾기’라고 지칭되는데, 시리즈 전반에서 서 사의 기본 구조로 활용되었다. 이는 장면과 감정의 변화를 기반으로 진행되며, 시청자의 참여를 통해 적극적으로 구현된다. 예능 문법의 도입은 짧은 에피소드를 나열하는 구성방식으로 제시되었다. 이에 따라 재미를 효과적 으로 표현했으며, 각 장면을 비디오 클립으로 제작하여 감상의 확산을 도모 했다. 다음으로 표현의 확장은 ‘흉내 내기’와 ‘동경의 노출’로 나누었다. 흉내 내기는 시리즈 전반에서 다양하게 제시된 패러디와 뮤직비디오 및 팬픽의 창작방법을 차용하는 방향으로 이루어졌다. 동경의 노출은 현재 우리 사회 가 잃어버린 가치를 추구하는 태도로, 시청자들과의 동감 형성을 도모하는 내레이션을 통해 주로 제시되었다. 물론 이를 이 작품만의 독창성으로 제시하기는 어렵다. 유사한 시도가 문 화예술의 여러 분야에서 두루 도모되었던 까닭이다. 그보다 기존 창작기법 의 집합체에 가깝다. 그러므로 <응답하라> 시리즈는 시대를 선도했던 사례 가 아니라, 전통적인 드라마트루기를 유지하면서도, 최근 급격하게 이루어 진 미디어 환경의 변화를 반영한 것이다. 이러한 창작방법은 <응답하라> 시리즈 이후에 발표된 로맨스를 다룬 작품들에 적극적으로 창작방법론이 활용되었다.
