This study focuses on looking at the realities of the scholarship projects that need improvement due to changes in the environment both inside and outside the country, and to find out what kind of supplementary points are required. Specifically, many researches on the scholarship support system in Korea and abroad are analyzed, and the contents of the scholarship recipient's needs, the appropriate scale of the scholarship, and the scope of the scholarship are examined. The purpose of this study is to reveal the improvement points of the private scholarship project and to reveal the implications of the survey results. As a result of the analysis, the degree of needs for job-related scholarship was higher than that for grades or income related scholarship, and college students often found the scholarship information themselves. The goal of the scholarship payment policy was in the order of reducing college tuition fees, development of practical skills, and strengthening activities related to industry and academy. It was also found that there is a demand for scholarship system such as scholarship for living expenses, job-related scholarship, and performance-linked scholarship.

본 연구는 대내외적인 환경변화로 인해 개선이 요구되는 장학사업의 현실을 직시하고 어떠한 보완점이 요구되어지는가를 찾고자 하는 데에 초점을 두고 있다. 구체적으로, 장학금에 대한 국내외 지원제도 관련 연구들을 분석함으로써 장학금 수혜대상 및 필요성, 장학금의 적정규모 및 지원범위 등에 관한 조사내용들을 살펴보고, 장학금 수혜대상인 대학생을 대상으로 수요자 관점에서 장학사업이 나아갈 방향성을 도출하기 위한 설문조사 결과를 구체적으로 제시함으로써 민간 장학사업의 개선점을 도출하고 조사결과가 내포하 고 있는 시사점을 밝히는 데에 목적을 두고 있다. 분석 결과, 성적이나 소득 연계보다 취업 연계 장학금에 대한 희망정도가 높게 나타났으며, 대학생들이 장학금 정보를 본인 스스로 찾는 경우가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 장학금 지급 정책 목표는 등록금 경감 다음으 로 실무능력 개발과 산학연계활동인 것으로 나타났으며, 생활비 지원 장학금, 취업연계 장학금, 사후장학금과 같은 장학금제도에 대한 요구도 존재하고 있음을 알 수 있었다.
