This study focused on the life of the Koreans and the historic situations in the geographical space around Bohai Zhen, Ninganshi, Heilongjiang Sheng (Dongkyengsung in the fiction) in 1945 and 1946 with the fiction “Roaring Mokdangang” as the text. Prior to the analysis, three subjects were examined; ① records on and the works of Yun Ilsan; ② publication of 『Roaring Mokdangang』 and his research; ③ movement of the Koreans to Mokdangang City in 1930s and historic situation around Dongkyengsung in 1945 and 1946. Sections 5 and 6 are the main body. The personalities of characters and their conflicts were identified in four types and structures. The characters in the fiction were mostly real persons or modelled after real persons, and showed very typical tendencies. The author told that he created this fiction on the basis of the socialist realism. The narrative space was classified largely into three types. The important space was several enclaves of the Koreans where the events started and developed. The title of the fiction includes ‘Mokdangang’. The center of the narration is Dongkyengsung(Bohai Zhen at present). Battles occurred in the villages along the railroad. Mokdangang and Dongkyengsung Railways symbolized the nature and history of the areas(ancient times) and the movement of Koreans(modern times) in this area.

이 논문은 소설 『포효하는 목단강』을 텍스트로 삼아, 1945,6년 중국 흑룡강성 寧安市 渤海鎭(소설에서는 東京城) 일대 지리 공간의 역사 상황과 조선인의 삶을 조명한 글이다. 본 논의에 앞서 ① 윤일산의 행적과 작품 세계, ② 『포효하는 목단강』의 간행과 연구 상황, ③ 1930년대 조선인의 목단강 이주와 1945,6년 동경성 일대의 역사 정황, 세 가지를 예비 검토했다. 5절과 6절은 본론에 해당한다. 인물의 성격과 갈등은 크게 네 개의 유형과 구도로 파악하였다. 소설 속 인물들은 대부분 실존인물이거나, 실존인물을 모델로 하고 있으며, 전형성이 강하다. 작가는 스스로 사회주의 리얼리즘에 입각하여 이 소설을 창작했다고 고백한 바 있다. 서사공간은 크게 세 유형으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 그중에서 중요한 곳들은 사건들이 펼쳐지고 전개되는 몇몇 조선인 집거촌이다. 제목에는 ‘목단강’이 드러나 있고, 서사의 중심 장소는 동경성(지금의 발해진)이며, 여러 전투는 철로 연변의 마을들에서 벌어진다. 목단강 · 동경성 · 철로는 각각 이 지역의 자연 · 역사(고대) · 조선인 이주(근대)를 표상한다.
