This research has been studied to analyze the evaluation of the press on the political symbolic policies carried out by the Moon Jae-in Administration which had changed its regime in 9 years. The study analyzed simultaneously both quantitative and qualitative research on two major domestic daily papers’ editorial: The Chosun Ilbo, and The Hankyoreh which represent conservatism and liberalism. The content analysis of editorials has been studied comparatively between the first term of 100 days since May, 10th, 2017, which was the sailing day of Moon Jae-in Administration and the second term of 100 days since May, 10th, 2018, which was the first anniversary of Moon Jae-in Administration. This comparative research has been studied to find the government's changes of policies in the first year and also to understand the changes in two major newspapers’ tone of argument. The major results of study was that the papers’ editorials on policies which has strong political symbols had appeared significantly more in The Chosun Ilbo. For the tone of editorials, The Chosun Ilbo has shown negative tone, and The Hankyoreh has shown neutral tone of argument. Both newspapers have shown North Korea policy and personnel management policy in their articles. In addition, according to editorial texts research from wordcloud, The Chosun Ilbo frequently mentioned ‘nuclear power plant’ and ‘minimum wages’ whereas The Hankyoreh frequently mentioned ‘North Korea issue’ and ‘North and South Korea summit meeting’.

본 연구는 9년 만에 정권 교체를 이룬 ‘문재인 정부’가 실행하고 있는 정치적 상징성 이 담긴 국가정책이 언론으로부터 어떠한 평가를 받고 있는지 분석해 보고자 시행되었 다. 이를 위해 국내 주요 일간지 중 보수와 진보 색채로 대표되는 ≪조선일보≫와 ≪한 겨레≫ 신문의 국가정책 관련 사설을 대상으로 양적 및 질적 분석을 병행하였다. 사설 의 내용분석은 1차 기간으로 ‘문재인 정부’ 출범 직후인 2017년 5월 10일부터 100일간, 2차 기간으로 문재인 정부 출범 1주년인 2018년 5월 10일부터 100일간을 비교해 실시 했다. 이는 집권 1년이 지나면서 상징적인 국가정책에 어떠한 변화가 있었으며, 이에 대한 양 신문의 논조 변화는 어떠하였는지를 파악하기 위함이었다. 주요 결과를 보면 정치적 상징성이 강한 정책관련 신문사설 건수는 ≪조선일보≫가 압도적으로 많았고, 논조에 있어 조선은 부정적, ≪한겨레≫는 중립적인 비율이 높았다. 아울러 양 신문 모두 대북정책과 인사정책 부문에 많은 지면을 할애한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 사설 텍스트에 대한 워드클라우드(wordcloud)분석 결과 조선은 ‘원전’과 ‘최저임금’이 ≪한겨레≫는 ‘북 한 이슈’와 ‘남북 정상회담’ 등이 빈번하게 언급되었다.
