Today, as the boundaries of artistic genre become increasingly vague, and with the society facing the Fourth Industrial Revolution, robot actors are out there to create new performing art paradigm in various ways along with the concept of Artificial intelligence. In the field of acting art, how do we look at the boundaries between human actors and robot actors? Standing at the crossroad, how do we classify the fields and the boundaries, if we accept the robot acting as true? From the Geminoid F, EveR and to RAoRA, there are many robot actors making an appearance on the stage. It means that the area of the acting arts which was believed only human to be able to perform, no longer free from the AI. We cannot predict the precise form of the industrial geography in the future yet, through research and analysis, we will be able to seek the way to co-exist. In this paper, I would like to discuss the fields and the boundaries of new acting arts that will be required in the future. The composition of this paper is divided into three parts. First, look through the current situation that has changed ever since society enters the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Then, examine the example of the innovative part of the acting arts because of the Revolution. Finally, discuss how to divide and look at the boundaries between robot actors and human actors. In this paper, I will reinforce the previous debate about the acting arts and their own fields and the boundaries, while examining them with a new perspective. As a result, we will investigate the characteristics of the acting arts that have changed by the Fourth Industrial Revolution through the cases and examine the boundaries between human actors and robot actors and of its possibility of future development.

오늘날 예술 장르의 경계가 갈수록 모호해지고 더불어 4차 산업혁명 시대에 접어들면서 인공지능이라는 개념과 함께 로봇 배우가 공연문화의 새로운 패러다임을 만들어내고자 다양하게 시도되고 있다. 배우예술의 영역에서 과연 로봇 배우와 인간 배우의 경계선을 앞으로 우리는 어떻게 바라보아야 할 것인가? 그 갈림길에서 과연 로봇 배우의 연기를 우리는 진정한 연기 예술로 받아들여야만 한다면 그 영역과 경계를 어떻게 구분해야 할 것인가? 대표적으로 제미노이드 에프(F), 에버(EveR), 라오라(RAoRA)에 이르기까지 다양한 로봇 배우들이 다양하게 등장하고 있다. 더 이상 인간만이 할 수 있다고 믿었던 배우예술의영역도 인공지능한테서 자유로울 수 없음을 의미한다. 미래 사회의 산업 지형을 우리는 완벽하게 예측할수는 없지만, 연구와 분석을 통해 공존 방법을 모색해야한다. 미래에 요구하게 될 새로운 배우예술의 영역과 그 경계에 대하여 논하고자한다. 이를 위한 본 논문의 구성은 크게 세부분으로 나뉜다. 먼저 4차 산업혁명 시대의 도입을 통해 달라진시대적 현황을 살펴본다. 그리고 4차 산업시대의 혁명으로 배우예술의 혁신적 영역에 부분에 대한 사례들을 살펴본다. 마지막으로 로봇 배우와 인간 배우의 영역의 경계에 대하여 어떻게 구분하고 바라볼 것인 가에 대하여 논하고자 한다. 본 논고에서는 4차 산업혁명 시대, 배우예술의 영역과 그 경계 배우예술논의는 기존 논의들에서 고찰된 개념들을 보강하면서 새로운 시각에서 그 영역의 경계를 바라보고자 한다. 결과적으로 4차 산업혁명 시대에 이르러 달라진 배우예술의 현황과 그로인해 나날이 발전하고 있는로봇 배우들의 사례를 통해 특징을 알아보고, 인간 배우와 로봇 배우의 경계선과 그리고 앞으로의 발전가능성을 살펴보고자 한다.
