The purpose of this research is to study the principle of music appreciation classes applying Arts PROPEL. For this, Arts PROPEL, music appreciation class process, and musical appreciation classes applying Arts PROPEL were explored. Based on the results, the process of sensuous appreciation, analytic appreciation, esthetic appreciation were established as the sub-domains of the musical appreciation class domain project for research and application. Based on the results, the following suggestions were made for practical application: first, teachers need to have sufficient interest in students and communicate with them. Second, teachers need to understand enough about songs to be appreciated. Third, teachers always need to examine the teaching-learning methods through various activities to encourage students’ interest and creativity. Fourth, it is required to create class atmosphere where students can freely express their thoughts. Fifth, it is necessary to evaluate the broad and private data of the portfolio objectively. This research is expected to be helpful to suggest data to establish plans for Arts PROPEL music appreciation classes.

이 연구의 목적은 아츠프로펠(Arts PROPEL)을 적용한 음악감상수업 원리를 연구하는 데 있 다. 이를 위해 아츠프로펠과 음악감상수업 단계, 아츠프로펠을 적용한 음악감상학습에 대해 고 찰하였다. 이러한 내용을 기반으로 감각적 감상, 분석적 감상, 심미적 감상 단계를 음악감상수 업 도메인 프로젝트의 하위 도메인으로 설정하여 9가지 원리를 연구하고 적용하였다. 이러한 결 과에 근거하여 실질적 적용을 위해 다음과 같이 제언한다. 첫째, 교사는 학생들에 대한 충분한 관심과 소통이 요구된다. 둘째, 감상 곡에 대한 교사의 충분한 이해가 필요하다. 셋째, 교사는 학생의 흥미와 창의성을 유도하는 다양한 활동을 통한 교수 학습 방법에 대해 늘 상고하여야 한다. 넷째, 자기 생각을 자유롭게 표현하고 이야기 할 수 있는 수업 분위기를 조성해야 한다. 다섯째, 포트폴리오의 방대하고 사적인 자료들의 객관적 평가방법을 요구한다. 이 연구를 통해 아츠프로펠 음악감상수업 계획 수립을 위한 자료 제시에 도움이 되기를 기대한다.
