The purpose of this study is teaching students to create meaningful learning with music history which plays an important role in music, focused on the textbook. For this, it is to examine Ausubel's meaningful learning and learning hierarchy and analyze ten kinds of high school textbooks based on the revised 2015 national curriculum, and also suggest teaching models for learning. On the basis of the result from this study, I suggest as follows. First, the textbooks should be improved to make content of western music history more systematically and be able to suggest various learning tasks which can create a meaningful learning. Second, expanding teacher training to be able to guide students for insufficient contents in textbooks. Third, In college for teacher education, such as the major of music education and non education college, Western music history could be studied in advance.

이 연구의 목적은 음악에 있어 중요한 역할을 하는 음악사를 교과서 중심으로 학습자에게 유 의미 학습이 일어날 수 있게 수업하는 것이다. 이를 위해 Ausubel의 유의미 학습과 학습의 위계 를 고찰하였으며 2015년 개정 교육과정에 따른 고등학교 10종 교과서를 조사 분석 하고 학습을 위한 수업모델을 제시하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 다음과 같이 제언한다. 첫째, 서양음 악사의 내용을 조금 더 체계적이고 유의미 학습이 일어날 수 있는 다양한 학습 과제를 제시할 수 있게 교과서를 개선하고 둘째, 교과서에서 부족한 내용을 교사들이 지도 할 수 있도록 교사연 수를 확대할 것, 셋째로 음악과 사범대나 비사범대학등의 교원양성대학에서의 서양음악사를 유 의미 학습 학습법을 미리 공부할 수 있게 한다.
