The purpose of this study was to analyze the content of creative activities in nine kinds(18 volumes) of music textbooks for the third and fourth grade in elementary school under the 2015 Curriculum. The analysis criteria were "distribution of units by the domain across all the textbooks," "organization of creative activities," and "types of creative activities." As for the units by the domain across all the third and fourth grade textbooks, singing accounted for 53.4% of total 604 units, being followed by appreciation(17.9%), instrumental music(12.3%), making music a part of life(10.9%), and creative(5.3%). As for the organization of creative activities, creative activities in creation-based units accounted for 15.5% of total 207 with the other creative activities including singing(72%), instrumental music(3.4%), appreciation(7.7%), and making music a part of life(1.4%). The percentage of creation-based activities was considerably low because there was a focus on an integrated approach between different domains to improve the comprehensive musical abilities of students. The materials of creative activities were not restricted to music but expanded to included storylines and tools of living. The biggest type of activity in creation-based units was activities related to [4Eum 01-05](72%). When the activity of making story music was connected to content outside music, it tended to be inclined toward sound effects without musical significance and thus needed improvement. The biggest types of activity in other domain units were activities related to [4Eum 01-03](56.5%) and those related to [4Eum 01-04](25.1%). The activity of changing lyrics was limited to the simple delivery of song content, which raises a need to improve this dependent tendency on things outside music. The activity of altering rhythms was heavily focused on mechanical rhythm-making activities such as the rearrangement of given rhythmic patterns, thus requesting supplementation. The intensive activity type of altering rhythms recorded a low percentage(5.7%), but it offered a chance for the students to check their results within a short period of time by creating and playing with certain patterns and develop a feel about forms and a basis for improvisation.

본 연구는 현재 2015 개정 교육과정에 따른 초등학교 3-4학년 음악 교과서를 현장에 적용하는 시점에서 창작활동 내용 분석을 통해 교수 학습 수준의 교육과정 방향 및 방법에 대한 시사점 을 찾고자 한다. 먼저, 음악 창의성 이론과 2015 음악과 교육과정 고찰 후, 이를 토대로 분석준 거를 마련하여 3-4학년 9종 교과서(분책 18권)를 분석하였다. 전체 교과서 영역별 단원은 604개 단원 중 가창 53.4%, 감상 17.9%, 기악 12.3%, 생활화 10.9%, 창작이 5.3%였고, 이를 창작 중심 단원과 타영역 단원에 제시된 창작활동으로 구분하여 살펴 본 바, 전체 창작활동 207개 중 창작중심 단원에서의 창작활동은 15.5%, 그 외 창작활동은 가창(72%) 및 기악(3.4%), 감상(7.7%), 생활화(1.4%)이다. 창작 중심 단원 창작활동 비중이 낮은 것은 교과 영역 목표에 부합하는 교수 학습 방법적 측면에서 학생들의 포괄적 음악 능력 향상 을 위해 영역간 통합적 접근에 주안점을 둔 것으로 해석된다. 창작활동에 활용된 제재를 살펴 본 바 창작중심 단원에서는 악곡 중심 보다 학생들의 삶과 동떨어지지 않는 이야기 혹은 생활도구들로 그 범위를 확장시키고 있다. 창작 중심 단원에서의 창작활동 유형은 [4음01-05]관련 활동(72%)이 높은 비중을 보였고, 이 에 대한 학습 활동 순서 및 방법은 거의 모든 교과서에서 잘 소개되고 있다. 이 유형들은 음악 외적 내용과 연관시킬 때 음악적 의미가 결여된 효과음향과 같은 진부한 패턴을 만드는 데 치중 하거나 획일화하려는 경향은 지양되어야 한다. 다른 영역 단원에의 창작활동 유형은 [4음01-03]관련 활동(56.5%)이 가장 많았고, 미미한 비율 이지만 성취기준 예시 외 [기타]활동(5.7%)이 보였다. [4음01-03]관련 활동은 언어표현과 같은 음 악 외적 활동인 가사 내용만 전달하는 데 의존적인 것은 제고되어야 한다. [4음01-04]관련 활동 은 주어진 리듬꼴을 재배열하는 기계적 리듬 구성 활동에 주안점을 둔 것이 많았다. 그 중 리듬 바꾸기 심화활동으로 제시된 유형은 특정패턴을 활용하여 창작하고 연주해 봄으로써 짧은 시간 에 결과물을 확인을 시켜주고 형식에 대한 느낌과 즉흥연주 토대를 형성해 갈 수 있는 창의적 표현 사례였다.
