Today, South Korea's university mission is a total failure. In order to transfer faith to the next generation, the Korean Church must renew the university mission. In this paper, I will first look at the current status of the crisis of university mission and present an alternative plan to overcome the crisis through the example of activities of Kyungpook National University, especially the establishment of the KNU Christ Student Center in 1955. In the 1950s, if you look at the newspaper of Kyungpook National University, the activities of Christian students were often reported and their classmates looked friendly toward Christian student. At that time, the core activity of Christian students was the establishment of the Christian Student Center in Kyungpook National University. The Christian Student Center is still present and plays an important role in mission of Kyungpook National University. This paper plans to rediscover the spirit of the establishment of the Christian Student Center of Kyungpook National University and present the direction of the university mission work today. First, set up a department christian group. Second, establish a Christian dormitory that promotes the christian character. Third, do with foreign students. Fourth, take a united approach. Fifth, make a Christian volunteer group. Sixth, establish dedicated missionary and campus church. There are a few campus which can do all this work at once. However, when it starts with what is possible, there will be a new wave of revival in the Korean campus mission.

오늘날 한국의 대학선교는 총체적인 실패라고 말할 수 있다. 다음 세대에 신앙을 전수하기 위해서 한국교회는 반드시 대학선교를 새롭게 해야 한다. 이 논문에서는 먼저 대학선교 위기의 실태를 살펴보고 다음으로 본인이 사역하고 있는 경북대학교 선교사례 – 특히 1955년에 있었던 경북대기독학생회관 건립 사례 - 를 통하여 대학선교 위기를 극복할 수 있는 대안을 제시하고자 한다. 1950년대 경북대신문을 살펴보면, 기독학생들의 활동이 자주 기사화되었고 학우들은 기독학생들을 우호적으로 바라보았다. 당시 기독학생들의 핵심적인 활동이 경북대기독학생회관 건립이다. 이 기독학생회관은 기독센터라는 이름으로 현재까지 존재하며 경북대 캠퍼스 선교의 중요한 역할을 감당하고 있다. 본 고에서는 경북대기독학생회관 건립 정신을 재발견하고 오늘날 대학선교의 방향을 제시하고자 한다. ‘첫 번째는 학과 기독인 모임을 만들어라. 둘째는 신앙인격을 함양하는 기독생활관을 세우라. 세 번째는 유학생과 함께 하라. 네 번째는 개 교회 개 단체가 아닌 연합적인 접근을 하라. 다섯 번째는 기독교 봉사단을 만들어라. 여섯 번째는 전담사역자와 대학교회를 세우라.’ 이다. 이 모든 일을 한꺼번에 할 수는 없을 것이다. 그러나 대학 생활에 맞게 가능한 일부터 시작할 때 한국대학선교에 새로운 부흥의 바람이 일어날 것이다.
