The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among attachment, social anxiety, and self-esteem. Also, in this study, it was examined whether self-esteem mediated the relationship between attachment and social anxiety. 363 freshman were sampled for this study. For data analysis, reliability analysis, correlation among, variables, analysis of multiple regression analysis were conducted. The results of this study were as follows. First, There was a significant positive correlation between attachment and social anxiety. Second, There was a significant negative correlation between attachment and self-esteem. Third, There was a significant negative correlation between self-esteem and social anxiety. Fourth, a result of examining the mediating effects of self-esteem in the relationship between attachment and social anxiety appeared to have a partial mediating effect. Suggestions for future research, the limitation of this study, and the implications were discussed.
