The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of community policing perceptions on general·specific fear of crime. The research method was statistical analysis of 1,200 people by 16 municipality assigning. Descriptive analysis, t-test, Anova, and multiple regression analysis were used by SPSS18.0 program. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, perceived level about the fear of crime was lower than average, and general fear of crime was higher than specific fear of crime. The evaluation of the local police activities was examined as visibility, intimacy (3.17)> reliability (3.10)> satisfaction (2.96). Second, women 's fear of crime was higher than that of men, and the average of fear of crime was significantly lower as age increased. Third, multiple regression analysis showed that the recognition of satisfaction and intimacy had a negative effect on general and specific fear. On the other hand, there was no statistically significant influence on reliability and visibility. The results showed that the local police should inform about the area crime and disorder to people. The development of efforts to promote the resident affinity of police officers and police officers has been developed as an important strategy to reduce crime fear. 이 연구는 지역경찰활동에 대해 주민들이 평가하는 인식이 일반적·구체적 범죄두 려움에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것이 목적이다. 연구방법은 국민을 모집단으로 전국 16개 시도를 지역별 1,200명을 할당하여 실시한 설문조사 자료를 통계적으로 분석하 였다. 기술통계분석, t-test, 아노바, 다중회귀분석을 실시했고 SPSS18.0 프로그램을 활용했다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 조사대상자가 인식하는 범죄의 두려움은 평균에 비하여 낮았고 일반적 범죄 두려움이 구체적 범죄두려움보다 높게 나타났다. 지역경찰활동에 대한 평가는 가시 성, 친밀성(3.17) > 신뢰성(3.10) > 만족성(2.96) 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 여성의 범죄 두려움이 상대적으로 높았고 연령이 증가할수록 범죄두려움의 평균이 유의미하게 낮 았다. 셋째, 다중회귀분석 결과 만족성과 친밀성에 대한 평가인식은 일반적·구체적 두려움을 감소시키는 영향이 있었다. 반면 신뢰성과 가시성은 통계적으로 의미 있는 영향력이 발견되지 않았다. 실증적 연구를 통해 지역경찰활동에 있어서 지역주민들에게 지역의 범죄감소와 무질 서 개선에 대한 사실정보의 적극적 홍보와 경찰관서 및 경찰공무원의 주민 친화력을 증진하기 위한 노력의 전개는 범죄두려움을 감소시키는 중요한 전략으로 도출되었다.
