- Nowadays many social scientists agree to the fact that the important problem which the Korean society should solve is the social conflict. Whenever the social conflict occurs, a certain amount of energy is lost and the process of prior entropy is accelerated at the maximum. This study attempts to find out not only the macro but also the micro variables of the social conflict by analyzing the PISTOL variables based upon the the entropy equations of Prigogine. Since micro variables are so numerous that this research limits the the indicators to the quantifi able statistics. In addition to this, this study trys to identify the interactions of variables that increase and or decrease the entropy o in the open system, and resultantly trys to diagnose the key characteristics of the Korean social system which tends to counterattack the rapid natural increments of entropy and tends to maintain the equilibrium state.
