- This study aims to examine the prosodic structure of Spanish loanwords borrowed from English and analyze their prosodic features. When one language borrows vocabulary from another, it tends to maintain the prosodic character of the original word, and according to the prosodic constraints of the borrowing language, the prosodic features of the loanwords are lost or subject to change. Among the various phonological changes that occur when Spanish borrows vocabulary from English are the vowel insertion and word-final consonant elimination, and theses process of change leads to a change in the structure of the syllable, and eventually a change in the rhyme structure, such as the movement of stress. For this purpose, this study reveals the characteristics of rhyme structure in Spanish, which is the mother tongue, and analyzes the changes in rhyme structure that can appear according to the borrowing process. This analysis reveals the existence of a loanwords phonology which can be applied to the Spanish loanwords, and shows that the rhythmic structure change of the vocabulary which has already been used in the Spanish language is applied to the vocabulary used as a foreign language concept.

- 본 연구는 스페인어에 차용된 영어 어휘들의 운율 구조를 파악해보고 이들 어휘들이 스페 인어로 차용되는 과정에서 나타나는 운율적 특징들을 분석해 본다. 한 언어가 다른 언어로부터 어휘를 차용하는 경우 근원어의 운율적 특징을 유지하려는 경향이 있고, 또한 차용 언어의 운율 적 제약에 따라 근원어의 어휘가 지닌 운율적 특징들이 상실되거나 변화도 겪게 된다. 스페인어 가 영어로부터 어휘를 차용하는 과정에서 일어나는 여러 음운적 변화들 가운데에는 모음 삽입, 자음 탈락 현상 등이 있으며 이러한 변화 과정을 겪으면서 음절 구조의 변화도 야기 시키고 결국 에는 강세의 이동 같은 운율 구조도 변화가 일어난다. 이를 위해 본고에서는 모국어인 스페인어 의 제반적 운율 구조 특징을 밝혀보고 차용어들이 차용되는 과정에 따라 나타날 수 있는 운율 구 조의 변화를 분석해본다. 이러한 분석을 통해 스페인어 차용어에 적용될 수 있는 차용어 음운부 의 존재 여부를 밝혀보고 차용시기가 오래되어 이미 스페인어에 완전히 귀화된 어휘들이 겪는 운율 구조 변화 현상이 아직은 외래어의 개념으로 사용되고 있는 어휘들에게도 적용 가능한지를 밝힌다.
