The purpose of this study is to identify the status of gender equality in women's police officials in the areas of home, work, system and policy and social culture. In order to do this, the study assumes a total of 200 female police officials who have been employed at local police and police stations nationwide, and in a sub-area of gender equality consciousness, the areas of living, the questionnaire, consisting of a total of five areas of social and cultural living area, a population of more than 30 questions, was conducted from October 1, 2017, to October 30, 2010, for the analysis of the study of the statical Package for the social Science 13.0 program. The results of this analysis appeared as follows. First, the level of gender equality of women's police officials showed that the level of consciousness was generally higher than the average, and in sub-areas, gender equality was the highest in the home life realm. Second, the difference in awareness of the sociological characteristics of a family living area, which is a sub-factor in gender equality awareness, has shown that there is a significant difference in the total of three matters of age, marital presence, or gender education experience (p < 0.001). Third, the difference in awareness of the sociological characteristics of the living areas of the workplace as a sub-factor of gender equality is the distinction between the three matters of age, rank, and education (p<0.001). Fourth, the difference in awareness of the sociological characteristics of the institutional and policy areas that are sub-factors of gender equality is the distinction between the four points of age, rank, work Department, and education (p<0.001). Fifth, the difference in awareness of the sociological characteristics of the socio-cultural realm as a sub-factor of the gender equality consciousness is that there is a significant difference in the total of two points of age and education (p<0.001).

이 연구의 목적은 가정, 직장, 제도 및 정책, 사회문화영역에서 나타나는 여성경찰공무원의 양성평등의식 실태를 파악하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 이 연구에서는 전국의 지방경찰청 및 경찰서, 파출소에 근무하고 있는 여성경찰공무원 총200명을 대상으로 양성평등의식의 하위영역으로 가정생활영역, 직업생활영역, 제도 및 정책영역, 사회문화생활영역, 인구사회학적 영역의 총 5개 영역 총30문항으로 구성된 설문지를 2017년 10월 1일부터 10월 30일까지 조사 실시하였으며, 이 연구의 분석을 위해 SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Science)21.0 프로그램을 이용하였다. 이에 대한 분석 결과 다음과 같이 나타났다. 첫째, 여성경찰공무원의 양성평등의식 수준은 평균 이상의 대체적으로 높은 수준으로 나타났으며, 하위 영역에서는 가정생활영역에서 양성평등의식이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 양성평등의식의 하위요인인 가정생활영역에 대한 인구사회학적 특성에 따른 인식의 차이는 연령, 결혼유무, 양성평등교육 경험의 유무의 총3개의 사항에서 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다(p<0.001). 셋째, 양성평등의식의 하위요인인 직장생활영역에 대한 인구사회학적 특성에 따른 인식의 차이는 연령, 계급, 학력의 총 3개의 사항에서 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다(p<0.001). 넷째, 양성평등의식의 하위요인인 제도 및 정책영역에 대한 인구사회학적 특성에 따른 인식의 차이는 연령, 계급, 근무부서, 학력의 총 4개의 사항에서 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다(p<0.001). 다섯째, 양성평등의식의 하위요인인 사회문화영역에 대한 인구사회학적 특성에 따른 인식의 차이는 연령과 학력의 총 2개의 사항에서 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다(p<0.001).
