This study examined the effects of work conditions satisfaction and leisure satisfaction on life satisfaction of wage workers. As a result of the study, the following facts were confirmed. First, work conditions have a significant effect on life satisfaction. These results can be seen as a reasonable result when the axis of human life is seen as labor and leisure. Second, leisure utilization has a significant effect on life satisfaction. This result implies that the leisure pursuit is important for the individual pursuing happiness. Third, age, education, spouse, household income, and residence were found to affect life satisfaction in terms of demographic characteristics in the effects of working conditions and leisure utilization on life satisfaction. This study suggests that work conditions and leisure utilization have an impact on life satisfaction. And since the age of the individual affects the life satisfaction in the negative direction, it is necessary to create an environment that raises the life satisfaction according to the age increase. In addition, the results of this study suggest that lifelong education, encouraging marriage, enhancing consumer satisfaction through policy approach, and ensuring the amenity of the residence are necessary. Therefore, through regular and continuous observation of the relationship between these variables, efforts should be made to guarantee the right to pursue happiness as a human right.

본 연구는 임금근로자를 대상으로 근로여건 만족도와 여가활용 만족도가 생활만족 도에 미치는 영향을 확인하였다. 연구 결과, 다음과 같은 사실을 확인하였다. 첫째, 근로여건은 생활만족에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과 는 인간의 삶의 축을 노동과 여가로 볼 때 합리적 결과로 볼 수 있다. 둘째, 여가활용 은 생활만족에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 행복을 추구하 는 개인이 생활만족에서 여가활용이 중요하다는 점을 의미한다. 셋째, 근로여건과 여 가활용이 생활만족에 미치는 영향에서 인구통계적 특성으로 연령, 교육, 배우자, 가구 소득, 거주지 등이 생활만족에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구결과는 근로여건과 여가활용은 생활만족에 영향을 미친다는 점을 시시하고 있다. 그리고 개인의 연령은 생활만족에 부의 방향으로 영향을 미치므로 연령 증가에 따른 생활만족도를 제고하는 환경을 만드는 것이 필요하다. 또한 이 연구의 결과는 지 속적인 교육으로서 평생교육, 결혼 장려, 정책적 접근을 통한 소비만족 제고, 거주지의 쾌적성 확보 등이 필요하다는 점을 시시하고 있다. 따라서 이러한 변수간의 관계를 정 기적이고 지속적인 관찰을 통하여 인간의 권리로서 행복추구권을 보장하는 노력이 이 루어져야 할 것이다.
