- Block housing in Korea has continuously recorded quantitative growth. However, from the quality point of view, it has many improvements, should be improved the viewpoint of being built without principles for the purpose of selling low-cost standards. Spatial quality is similar to ours, advanced block dwellings are not only dense but also economical due to the small area. However, many residents have high satisfaction and spatial quality. In this study, we tried to help establish the improvement of block housing in Korea, from the results of the basic study on the composition of the facade such as shape, material and color, and the system establishment for improving the satisfaction of the residents, therfore following conclusions were obtained. First, there was a simple and flat shape without change of the elevation. The elevation without a segment or bend that reveals a simple form was concise in the form of the dense interior space. Second, it is analyzed that the change of the elevation due to the type of balcony is the biggest morphological feature. It was evident to the diversity of the structure and form of the balcony. Third, a shielding system was included in the shutters and inside of windows. Window systems for changing sunlight, changing winds and maintaining privacy, is installed inside the window shield structure. The shielding structure was shown to simply maintain the elevation as well as the control of light and wind. Fourth, the use of simple materials with no detail has appeared in almost all cases. About 2-3 pieces of material were introduced, the properties of the material in which the processing of the material and the change of the details are minimized have appeared. Fifth, we could see the use of simple colors that do not divide. It is possible to observe the elevation structure in which the division of the surface by the color does not occur, as using the each frame of window and door frame uses the same material or the same color as the background color of the building.

- 우리나라 블록형 집합주거의 설계 원칙을 수립하기 위한 기초연구로서 유럽 선진 블록형 집합주 거를 대상으로 입면의 형식을 연구하였다. 이는 다양한 마감재의 사용과 페인트에 의한 분할적 도포 로 특징이 나타나는 우리나라 집합주택 입면의 근본적 개선 방향의 모색을 위한 것으로서, 밀도가 높은 도시형 집합주거의 개선과 정책수립에 기여하고자 한다. 따라서 유럽의 선진 블록형 집합주거 를 대상으로 입면 구성요소인 창과 문, 디테일에서 심미적이면서 효율적 기능을 가진 사례들을 대상 으로 특징을 추출하였다. 분석결과 선진 블록형 집합주거의 가장 큰 특징은 ‘단순성’으로 나타났다. 장식적 요소나 덧붙여지거나 ‘분절이 없는 입면’을 유지하기 위한 단순한 형태와 재료, 단순한 색채 와 디테일로 일원화되어 있었다. 또한 단순성을 지원하는 공간구성 시스템이 입면디자인과 긴밀하게 연계적으로 이어지고 있었다.
