In order to increase police welfare in terms of psychological well being, I proposed to implement a new psychological welfare concept into police welfare, thereby proposing a brand new paradigm. The proposal of new police welfare system based on psychological welfare is based on through analysis of Riff’s six specified measure of psychological welfare, them being self acceptance, positive relations with others, autonomy, environmental mastery, purpose in life, and personal growth. The specific components to help develop these six measures are: self acceptance - zen-meditation, meditation, yoga. positive relations with others – gatherings, friendly meetings, tight friendship, active social networking. autonomy – experience of decision making. environmental mastery – wise usage of smart phones and internet. purpose in life – retirement plan, making economic plan. personal growth – endless research. The above practice based psychological welfare measures deem to be a more realistic direction for police welfare due to the right implementation of the dynamic characteristics more suitable for real time police officers.

심리적 복지 수준을 증진하기 위해 과거의 경제, 물질 중심 경찰 복지 개념에 대 해 심리적 복지 개념을 새로운 페러다임으로 제시하고 Ryff의 심리적 복지 척도인 자기수용감, 긍정적 대인관계, 자기주도성, 환경적응, 삶의 목표, 개인의 성장 등 6 개의 하위 척도를 활용하여 다음과 같이 실천 중심 심리적 복지 척도를 재구성하였 다. 자기수용감에 대응한 척도는 참선수련, 명상, 요가, 긍정적 대인관계에 대응한 척도는 동호회, 친목회, 친구관계, SNS 활동, 자기주도성에 대응한 척도는 의사결 정 경험, 환경적응에 대응한 척도는 스마트폰과 인터넷 활용도, 삶의 목표에 대응한 척도는 노후설계, 경제계획 및 실천 정도, 개인의 성장에 대응한 척도는 연구 활동 실적이다. 이와 같은 실천 중심 심리적 복지 척도는 경찰공무원의 심리적 복지 평가 에 실천적, 동적 성향을 보다 잘 반영하고 심리적 복지 증진 대안 마련에 유익할 것으로 기대된다.
