The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of the class that are linked with the extracurricular program in S university and to develop implications for the development and operation of the class with the extra-curricular program. We selected three classes for the same time that were opened at S University in the second semester of 2017. For analyzing communication, creativity and self-directed competences, we used the core competency diagnostic tools and FGI. The project in the extra-curricular program was practical tasks in the form of producing and reporting news about the university's business and institutions. As a result of paired T-test, the communication, creativity, and self-directed competencies of the students who participated in the class increased significantly. And focus group interviews showed that there was a change in the core competencies mentioned above. There were various changes of perceptions for university, the improvement of leadership and cooperative learning ability, and the confidence and achievement. In order to achieve fruitful endeavors through the innovation and quality improvement of university education, systematic development of the class linked with extra-curricular programs should be developed and implemented in various fields.

본 연구는 서울 소재 S 대학교에서 진행한 비교과 프로그램을 연계한 교양수업의 효과를 분 석하고 비교과 프로그램 연계 수업의 개발 및 운영에 대한 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위 해 2017학년도 2학기에 S대학교에 개설된 동일 시간대의 강좌 3개 교과목을 선정하여 참여 학생 들을 대상으로 핵심역량진단도구를 활용하여 소통, 창의성, 자기주도역량의 변화를 분석하고 초 점집단인터뷰 및 심층면담을 실시하였다. 비교과 프로그램에서는 대학의 사업과 제도 등에 관한 뉴스를 제작하고 보도하는 형식의 실제적인 과제가 주어졌다. 학기 초와 학기말에 시행한 핵심역량진단에 대한 대응표본 T검정결과, 비교과 프로그램 연계 교양교과 수업에 참여한 학생들의 소통역량, 창의성역량, 자기주도역량이 모두 유의미하게 증가 하였다. 또한 초점집단인터뷰를 통해 분석한 바에 따르면 앞에서 언급한 핵심역량 이외에도 학교 에 대한 인식의 전환, 리더십과 협동학습능력 향상, 자신감과 성취감 등 다양한 인식 변화가 있 었던 것으로 분석되었다. 국내 대학교육의 혁신과 질 제고를 통한 다양한 노력들이 결실을 맺으려면 비교과 프로그램에 대한 체계적인 개발과 더불어 다양한 분야에서 교과-비교과 연계 프로그램을 개발하여 시행함 으로써 학생들에게 폭넓은 경험을 제공하고, 학생 개개인의 특성에 맞는 역량개발을 위한 다양 한 교육이 이루어지도록 노력하여야 한다.
