The purpose of this study is to evaluate the initially developed personality counseling education program for the military officers and noncommissioned officers based on the perspective of the participants and to find ways to improve them. To accomplish this, two focus group interviews were conducted for 12 persons, six of whom were involved in the personality counseling education program. Through focus group interviews, we listened to the contents of the training, the evaluation of the operation process, the effective aspects of the education, the improvements, the contents of the suggestions in the development of the next course and suggested the contents analysis results. As a result of the analysis, it was reported that the education program was effective in enhancing the understanding of military officers and noncommissioned officers themselves and soldiers, enhancing personality education and counseling capacity, and more effective methods of training management such as extension of practical type content and voluntary education application were discussed from the perspective of participants. Finally, we suggested the development plan such as continuous education program, preparation of educational environment, and necessity of post management for maintenance of educational effects.

본 연구는 초기 개발된 군 간부 대상 인성상담 교육프로그램에 대해 참여자 관점을 중심으로 평가하고 그 개선방안을 모색하는 데에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 초기 개발된 인성상담 교육프로그램에 참여한 군 간부들 중에서 총 12명을 대상으로 6명씩, 2회의 포커스그룹 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 포커스그룹 인터뷰를 통해 교육 내용, 운영과정, 교육의 효과적 측면, 개선사항 및 차후 과정 개발 시 건의내용 등에 관한 평가 및 요구 의견을 청취하여 내용분석결과를 제시하였다. 분석결과, 교육프로그램은 군 간부 자신과 용사에 대한 이해 증진, 인성교육 및 상담 역량 향상 등에 효과가 있었음이 보고되었고, 참여자 관점에서 실습형 내용 확대 및 자발적 교육 신청 등 보다 효과적인 교육 운영방법들이 논의되었다. 최종적으로 개선방안을 토대로 후기개발 교육프로그램의 내용을 정리하고 지속적인 교육프로그램 실시, 교육환경 마련, 교육효과 유지를 위한 사후관리 필요성 등 발전방안을 제언하였다.
