This study aims to collect the case that Korean inter-married women participated community activities and to find the meaning of identical negotiation shown in their community participation. For this purpose, we searched the activities that combined Korean inter-married women's country of residence and country of birth and analyzed the meaning of the activities. The results classified into three different categories: first, the targeted party of identical negotiation indicated in Korean inter-married women's participation in community activities; second, methods of identical negotiation; and third, the meaning of the negotiation. The targeted party of identical negotiation included the country of residence and country of birth and Korean society found in the country of residence. The methods identical negotiation analyzed by organizing and participating their own communities to strengthen their identity. In addition, they claimed of their needs to the country of residence and country of birth and attempted of increasing the cooperation from both countries by serving and helping the society. The meaning of identity negotiation was to improve their perception of themselves and to promote the rights of women. The Korean inter-married women have experienced elimination and exclusion from both countries. Thus, they constantly connect themselves to the society of country of residence and country of birth, express their identity, and participate in the community activities to obtain the sense of belonging.

본 연구는 한인여성들의 여성 공동체 활동을 살펴보고 공동체 활동에 나타난 정체성협상의 의미를 찾는데 있다. 이를 위해 국제결혼 한인여성의 거주국과 모국을 아우르는공동체 활동, 그리고 의미를 찾고 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 이들의 공동체 활동에나타나는 정체성협상의 대상, 둘째, 정체성 협상의 방법, 셋째, 협상의 의미로 분류하였다. 정체성 협상의 대상은 거주국과 모국 그리고 거주국 사회 내 한인사회를 대상으로하고 있다. 정체성 협상의 방법은 공동체를 조직하여 활동함으로써 그들의 정체성을 강화한다. 또한 양국에 그들의 요구사항을 주장하는 한편 봉사하고 도움을 나눔으로써 양쪽 사회 모두와 협력을 시도한다. 정체성 협상의 의미는 그들 자신에 대한 인식개선과여성에 대한 권리증진을 추구함이 있었다. 한인 국제결혼 여성들은 한국과 거주국 모두에서 소외당하고 배제되는 삶을 경험하며 살아간다. 그렇기 때문에 이들은 모국과 거주국 사회에 지속적으로 자신들을 연결하며 그들의 정체성을 표현하고 소속감을 갖기 위한 활동을 공동체를 통하여 행한다.
