In this paper, we clarify the meaning of terminology in the field of digital art therapy, and study on the direction of improvement by analyzing previous works in this field. For analyzing the previous works, we selected 38 papers published between 2004 and 2017, and classified these paper into 4 categories according to the subjects of papers. The categories in this paper are usage of digital data and device, development of software for art therapy, development of diagnostic system for drawing test, and necessity of the introduction of digital technology. Researchers in the field of art therapy mainly studied on the field of the first and the fourth categories. On the other hand, researchers in the field of computer studied on the field of the second and the third categories. The research fields of these two groups of researchers are more or less different, however, the research direction of these researchers are converge into digital art therapy. Through analyzing the research field of researchers, future development direction of digital art therapy is that it is required to fuse art therapy and computer engineering based on knowledge of art therapist and development ability of computer engineer.

본 연구는 디지털미술치료의 용어에 대한 의미를 명확히 하고, 디지털미술치료에 관한 선행연구 분석을 토대로 앞으로의 발전방향을 모색하는데 목적이 있다. 본 논문에서는 선행 연구 분석을 위해 국내에서 디지털미술치료 관련 연구 결과가 최초로 발간된 2004년부터 2017년까지 발표된 논문 38편을 분석하였으며, 그 결과 디지털미술치료에 관한 연구를 연구 내용에 따라 4가지 범주로 분류하였다. 첫째 디지털 자료 및 기기활용, 둘째 미술치료 소프 트웨어 개발, 셋째 그림검사 진단시스템 개발, 마지막으로 디지털 기술 도입의 필요성이다. 미술치료 관련 연구자들은 주로 첫 번째와 네 번째 영역에 대한 연구를 하였으며, 컴퓨터 관련 연구자들은 두 번째와 세 번째에 관한 연구에 집중하였다. 구체적인 연구 주제에는 다 소 차이가 있으나 두 연구자들 간에 연구방향이 디지털미술치료로 수렴되는 것으로 나타났 다. 연구자들의 연구 분야에 대한 분석을 통해 향후 디지털미술치료의 발전방향은 미술치료 사들의 전문지식과 컴퓨터 공학자들의 프로그램 개발능력을 바탕으로 한 미술치료와 컴퓨 터 공학 분야의 융합이 요구되어질 것으로 사료된다.
