In the meantime, there has been constant terrorism around the world. Although there has been no terrorist damage caused by organized terrorism in Korea, it is known that the necessity for the preparation is urgent. Especially, suicide terrorism requires more attention, but there are very few studies on domestic suicide terrorism. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting suicide terrorism in detail through logistic regression analysis. Factors used in the analysis for the analysis are money demand, political purpose, hostage kidnapping, media use, ideological terrorism, and organization involvement. In addition, the control variables were the number of terrorist, the total number of kills, and the total wounds. According to the analysis of decision - making model, ideological terror and media use were variables that could predict the possibility of suicide terrorism significantly. However, logistic regression analysis showed that hostage and terrorist organizations had a positive influence, and media use and ideological terrorism had negative effects. Until now, research results related to suicide terrorism were different. and The recent debate on this point has led to a compositive analysis of the causes of suicide terrorism. In this study, tried to identify these compositive factors. The study conducted an analysis of interaction variables to achieve the goal. The variables analyzed are hostage hijacking * media use (Model 5), political purpose * media use (Model 6). As a result of the analysis, two interaction variables were found to have a positive effect on suicide terrorism. These results support the argument that there are variables such as religion, ideology, purpose and method of terrorism, and that these variables interact with each other to cause suicide terrorism.

그동안 세계적으로 끊임없이 테러가 발생되어 왔다. 비교적 국내에서 조직적으로 발생된 테러피해는 없었으나 그 대비에 대한 필요성이 절실하다는 것은 누구나 아는 사실이다. 특히, 자살테러는 목표를 위해 수단을 가리지 않으며, 그 피해 또한 심각하 므로 더욱 관심이 필요함에도 불구하고 국내 자살테러 관련 연구는 매우 적은 실정이 다. 이 연구에서는 이러한 자살테러를 SPSS의 의사결정나무를 통해 분석하고, 자살테 러 발생에 영향을 주는 요인이 무엇인지 로지스틱회귀분석을 통해 세부적으로 다루고 자 한다. 분석을 위해 연구에서 사용된 자살테러에 영향을 미칠 요인은 기본적으로 테 러참여인원, 총 사망자 및 부상자를 포함하여, 금전요구금액, 정치적 목적, 인질납치, 미디어 사용, 이념적 테러, 조직 가담을 활용했다. 의사결정모델의 분석에 따르면, 이 념적 테러와 미디어 사용이 자살테러 가능성을 유의미하게 예측할 수 있는 변수였다. 그러나 로지스틱회귀분석 결과 테러참여인원, 총 사망자, 총 부상자를 통제한 상태에 서 인질납치와 조직 가담이 자살테러에 정(+)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인 되었으 며, 미디어 사용과 이념적 테러는 자살테러의 부(-)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났 다. 기존 논의된 자살테러의 원인은 연구마다 결과가 상이하다. 이러한 점에 대해 최 근 논의는 통합적 시각으로 그 원인에 대한 분석이 복합적으로 이루어지고 있다. 이 연구에서도 이러한 복합적 요인을 확인하고자 했다. 통합적 입장으로 파급성에 한해 실시된 상호작용 분석에서는 인질납치*미디어 사용이 추가된 Model 5와 미디어 사용* 정치적 목적 변수가 추가된 Model 6에서 상호작용이 자살테러에 정(+)적인 영향을 미 치는 요인으로 확인 되었다. 이는 종교 및 이념 그리고 테러의 목적과 방법 등 복합적 인 원인에 의해 자살테러가 발생된다는 통합적 논의를 지지하는 결과였다.
