The Influence of College Student’ Career Maturity on College Adjustment - Focusing on Mediating Effect of Career Indecision -
The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of career indecision in the influence of career maturity on college adjustment. The subjects of this study were 229 college students (male 87, female 142) who were measured on career maturity inventory, career indecision, and college adjustment, using a questionnaire consisting of goal orientation scale measures. Data was collected in this study was analyzed by SPSS 18.0 and data was processed by correlation analysis and regression analysis. The major results of this study were as follow. First, career maturity and college adjustment were showing a significant positive correlation. Career maturity was showed the highest significant negative correlation with career indecision. College adjustment was showed a significant negative correlation with career indecision. Second, career indecision was mediated entirely the influence of career maturity on college adjustment. This paper was discussed the results of the study, as well its limitations and suggestions to monitor and the implications for future. The results of the study were expected to provide an understanding of university students’ career for positive college adjustment.
