The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of attitude: toward career retirement from the military, on retirement preparation and the mediating effects of lifestyle in this relationship. To do this we surveyed the data of 202 officers and NCO's who were attached to Marines' 1st Division (Pohang) at the beginning of December 2016, and analyzed 195 of the questionnaires with the exception of 7 questionnaires that were filled out incorrectly. For this study, we analyzed the status of retirement preparation in line with the common characteristics of the respondents, through frequency analysis and descriptive statistics using the SPSS WIN 18.0 program. Then, by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) we analyzed the relationship between attitudes, lifestyle and retirement preparation of military personnel. The results of the study are as follows. First, the attitude toward retirement of professional soldiers did not have a significant effect on retirement preparation. Secondly, however the attitude toward retirement has a direct effect on their lifestyle, and their lifestyle has a direct influence on retirement preparation. Thirdly, the respondents lifestyle showed mediating effects on the relationship between retirement attitude and retirement preparation. As a result, by highlighting and understanding the attitudes of career soldiers toward retirement, their lifestyle and how these ultimately effect retirement preparation, this study can be used as base line data for various fields such as development and implementation of programs to provocatively assist in retirement preparation.

본 연구는 직업군인의 퇴직에 대한 태도가 노후준비에 미치는 영향과 이 관계에서 라이프스타일의 매개효과를 검증하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2016년 12월초에 해병대 1사단(포항)에서 근무하는 장교 및 부사관 간부 202명의 자료를 설문 받아 이중 설문응답이 부적절한 7개의 설문을 제외하고 195명의 설문을 분석하였다. 본 연구를 위해 SPSS WIN 18.0 프로그램을 활용하여 빈도분석과 기술통계분석을 통하여 응답자의 일반적인 특성에 따른 노후준비 현황을 분석하였으며, 이후 구조방정식모형(SEM: Structural Equation Modeling)을 이용하여 직업군인의 퇴직에 대한 태도, 라이프스타일, 노후준비 사이의 관련성을 살펴보았다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직업군인의 퇴직에 대한 태도는 노후준비에 직접적인 영향은 주지만 크게 영향을 미치지는 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 퇴직에 대한 태도는 라이프스타일에, 라이프스타일은 노후준비에 직접적이면서 지대한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째. 라이프스타일은 퇴직에 대한 태도와 노후준비의 관계에 있어 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과는 직업군인의 퇴직에 대한 태도 및 라이프스타일에 대한 인식을 보다 긍정적인 방향으로 부각시켜 노후준비에 도움을 주기 위한 프로그램의 개발과 실행 등 다양한 분야의 기초자료로 활용이 가능할 것이다.
