The purpose of the study was to investigate research trends of art therapy related to schizophrenia published in a dissertation and academic journals at home and abroad last decade. The subject was 63 master's theses, 7 doctoral dissertations, 17 journals, a total of 87 domestic and 22 foreign academic journals, and frequency and percentages by year, type, topic and method from the year 2007 to 2016. Research has shown that on average, more than 7 articles had been published steadily until 2016, and the type of research has been focused on an experimental study. The topics of improvement in interpersonal relationships and a sense of self esteem are steadily progressing to the highest frequency, and recent studies have shown that they were combined with topics such as social skills, quality of life, and others. Quantitative and qualitative studies in groups were used. The art therapy sessions were conducted with an average of 10 participants per week with 60-90 minutes, and the most organized session programs were the 10th to 20th. Overall, the current domestic and foreign art therapy for schizophrenia seems to be actively studied and developed according to the needs and trends of the times. The findings is to be used to prepare for concrete social measures and to carry out systematic studies on art therapy of schizophrenia, to be a basis for research on art therapy for schizophrenia in the future.

본 연구는 최근 10년간 국내·외 조현병 관련 미술치료 석·박사 학위논문과 학술지에 게재된 논문의 연구 동향 분석에 그 목적이 있다. 2007년부터 2016년까지의 관련 논문 중 석사 63편, 박사 7편, 학술지 17편, 총 87편과 국외 학술지 논문 22편을 최종 대상으로 연도별, 유형별, 주제별, 방법별로 구분하여 빈도와 백분율을 살펴보았다. 연구 결과 2016년까지 평균적으로 7편 이상의 논문이 매년 발표되었고, 연구유형은 실험연구가 절대적으로 많았다. 주제는 대인관계 개선과 자아존중감 향상이 가장 높은 빈도수로 꾸준하게 진행되고, 최근 에는 사회성, 삶의 질 등의 주제와 결합된 연구로 나타났다. 방법은 주로 집단으로 양적, 질적의 혼합 연구로 진행되는 추세이다. 치료회기는 주 1회 60-90분으로 평균 10명 정도의 참여 대상자로 진행되고, 10-20회기 프로그램이 가장 많이 구성되었다. 전체적인 결과를 종합해 보면, 현재 국내·외 조현병 대상 미술치료는 시대 의 요구와 흐름에 맞는 주제로 활발하게 연구되고 발전하는 모습이다. 연구 결과로 도출된 자료는 향후 조현병 대상 미술치료의 연구 기초자료로 활용함에 의의를 두고 확실한 사회적인 대책 마련과 특화되고 체계적인 조현병 대상 미술치료 연구의 필요성을 논의하였다.
