This study examined the relationships of social support, multicultural acceptability and school adjustment among adolescents with migrant and domestic backgrounds and invested the changes over time in these variables. Using longitudinal data of 322 elementary and middle school students from KELS 2013, multigroup SEM and LGM were implemented. The results showed that: (i) social support had direct effects on multicultural acceptability and school adjustment in both groups; (ii) multicultural acceptability partially mediated the relationship between social support and school adjustment in migrant youth group; (iii) the intercepts of social support and school adjustment for migrant youth group were significantly lower than those for the other group; (iv) a significant decrease in the change of school adjustment and the significant quadratic trend in multicultural acceptability over time were identified, while the growth rates were similar in both groups. Based on the analytical results, the implications for education and policy were discussed and the limitation and the future directions of the study were suggested.

본 연구에서는 한국교육개발원의 ｢KELS 2013｣ 1-4차 데이터를 사용하여 이주배경 청소년과 일반 청소년의 사회적 지지, 다문화수용성, 학교적응의 관계에 관한 집단분석과 시간의 흐름에 따른 이들 변인들의 동적 변화를 비교 분석하였다. 다집단 분석을 위해 추출한 322명 표본학생의 종단데이터를 활용한 다집단 구조방정식모형과 잠재성장모형에 대한 분석결과, 첫째, 사회적 지지는 두 집단 모두에서 다문화수용성과 학교적응에 정(+)의 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 이주배경 청소년의 사회적 지지와 학교적응의 관계에서 다문화수용성의 부분 매개효과가 나타났다. 셋째, 사회적 지지는 이주배경 청소년의 초기치가 일반 청소년에 비해 유의미하게 낮게 나타났다. 넷째, 다문화수용성은 비선형으로 변화하였으나 집단 간 유의미한 차이는 발견되지 않았다. 다섯째, 학교적응은 부(-)적 선형 변화하였으며, 이주배경 청소년의 초기치가 유의미하게 낮게 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 사회통합적 관점에서 교육 및 정책적 시사점을 논의하고 향후 연구방향을 제안하였다.
