This article proposes a more effective stepped-curriculum for computer education which is compared with the present curriculum and is considered for students’ demands. Even if computer has been getting with our daily life but its history is short and it changes fast. So it’s very hard to teach computer skills to a learner effectively. Problems of teaching-method, lack of facilities, unsuitability of curriculum and few teachers area these days. Because the curriculum is basic and important, we consider these problems. Our study focused on highschool students for learners because the Seventh Curriculum for middle and high school has a problem that it is hard to be reflected to middle and high school student’s opinions on curriculum.
So, the questionnaires have been distributed and collected through the information and academic highschool students to know the students’ request. The results of the data analysis show that students mostly used computer for game, internet and Mangle software for study. And they want to change the curriculum and computer skills.
This paper proposed the stepped-curriculum of computer education focused on a learner according to the present curriculum analysis, the student’s requests through the questionnaires and the experience of teaching computer.
The stepped-curriculum consists of two parts. One part is an essential part that has 1, 2 steps. Another is practical part that has 3～6 steps. It has below characters.
First, it can be reflected to students’ different level using computer Second, it consists of an essential part and a practical part. The essential part can be divided to base and detail part. Third, it is available to adopt present computer skills in the practical part .
This curriculum is very important but it is also important to solve the other problems in computer education field. So these things have to be developed at the same time.

본 연구는 컴퓨터교육과정의 내용분석과 교육을 받고 있는 학생들의 요구조건을 수렴하여 효과적인 컴퓨터 교육의 단계별 교육과정을 연구하는데 목적이 있으며, 교육내용 분석과 학생들의 요구사항 수렴 및 직접강의를 한 경험, 학생들과의 상담을 통하여 단계별 컴퓨터 교육내용을 제안하였다.
지금까지의 컴퓨터 교육의 부재로 인해 서로 다른 컴퓨터 교육능력을 가지고 있는 학생들 각각의 수준을 반영할 수 있도록 하며, 컴퓨터 활용의 영역을 크게 필수영역과 응용영역으로 구분하였고. 필수영역에서는 기본활용과 심화활용으로 나누어서 체계적으로 컴퓨터 교육이 실시될 수 있도록 제시했다. 응용영역에서는 컴퓨터 분야의 빠른 변화를 적절한 시간 내에 수용할 수 있도록 단계별 교과내용의 수정이 가능하도록 하였다. 이처럼 일방적인 공급자 중심의 컴퓨터 교육이 아니라 수요자인 학습자 중심으로 그들의 수준을 파악하고, 실습실 확충, 전문교사의 확충 등 여러 가지 컴퓨터 교육의 문제점들을 해결해 나가며 체계적인 컴퓨터 교육이 실시되어야한다.
