Lighting affects everything on the stage. So it is closely related with make-up. Also, We can realize that lighting plays an important role in the make-up style and expression of vision. It must be altered according to the character of each program, show model and pattern factually, and adjust the atmosphere. Sometimes, it shows us scene atmosphere, places, and time. And it grants the character of subjects and environment. A well-structured lighting design highlights make-up, while the reverse also spoils make-up and make-up color. There are also many differences in the way in which the materials are selected and treated in the form of light sources or lighting, depending on the type of coating, materials selection. Therefore, before applying make-up, the type and location of lighting, the strength and direction of lighting should always be considered by the make-up expert, changes in the color of the garment and the characteristics of the colors expressed in natural light should be studied, the selection of the make-up colors suitable for that color, and the procedure methods. We need to study about lighting type for the development of beauty expression and visual expression. This study sets limits on the effects of such lighting on make-up, In particular, the ministry wanted to look into the importance and role of lighting in different fields where make-up ways and make-up performed, depending on lighting types.

이 연구는 조명이 배우의 분장에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 조명이 영향을 미치는 무대, 분장기법, 조명각도, 무대환경 등 다양한 상황에서 고려해야 하는 요소들을 알아보고, 그에 대한 심도 있는 탐색을 통대 조명의 중요성을 제시하고자 한다. 조명은 무대의 모든 요소에 영향을 미치고 배우의 분장과도 밀접한 관련이 있다. 또한, 무대 연극에서 분장기법과 시각의 표현에 있어서 중요한 역할을 한다. 조명은 특성에 따라 형태와 배역을 사실적으로 보여주기도 하고, 극의 분위기에 따라 전혀 다른 느낌을 주기도 한다. 조명은 무대장면의 분위기, 장소, 시간 등을 표현할 수도 있으며, 배우의 인격과 환경의 특성을 나타낼 수도 있다. 또한 잘 구성된 조명 설계는 분장을 돋보이게 하지만 그 반대의 것은 분장과 배우, 분위기 등을 망치게도 한다. 그 외에도 광원이나 조명의 형태의 따라서도 분장의 재료선택 및 시술하는 방법이 달라진다. 따라서 분장 전문가는 분장 전에 조명의 종류와 위치, 조명의 강도와 방향 등을 항상 염두에 두고, 무대와 배우를 고려한 분장을 하여야 하며, 배우의 의상색의 변화와 자연 광선에서 표현되는 색의 특징, 그 색에 맞는 분장 색상의 선택과 배우의 내용표현을 고려한 분장이 이루어져야 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 조명형태에 따라 다르게 이루어져야 하는 분장 방법과 분장이 행해지는 각 분야별로 조명의 중요성과 그 역할을 탐색하는 것에 의미를 둔다.
